Located in Great Glen, The Pug & Greyhound has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Breakfast was a box due to coronavirus, we were looking forward to a cooked breakfast but can understand the reasons behind no cooked breakfast

The location was.perfect, easy road side parking, comfortable spacious rooms, great for families with nice garden, very good communications and response, easy check-in and check-out, close to university of Leicester and De Montfort University, internet and tv was great
Just 10 minutes from the city center and the M1/M69 junction 21, the Holiday Inn - Leicester - Wigston offers modern accommodations with free Wi-Fi, free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Staff were really nice and my stay was wonderful. The restaurant at the hotel has delicious food. Everything was lovely and the staff were always there when I needed assistance. It was my birthday and the event planner helped me arrange my dinner at their stage suite which was amazing and the prices are good as well.
Located 3 miles from Leicester, within 1.8 mi of University of Leicester and Belgrave Road, Flexistay Leicester Gable Aparthotel provides en-suite accommodations. Polite and efficient check-in. There is a very useful communal kitchen and a Co-Op shop (open late) right next door. Very clean with a really large shower, good efficient heating options and a good size TV.
The location of the accomodation in the village was great, walkable to the other pub/restaurant. Due to unforseen circumstances the pub itself, The Pug and Greyhound was closed and we were warned about this prior to our stay., with the option to cancel if we wished. We eat at The Yews in the village which was good value for money with excellent staff. The garden area of the pub was great for outdoor dining, pity they had to close. Hostess Amy was very helpful and personable.
An attractive village in beautiful countryside. Took advantage of the 3rd recommended 'Pug' walk - beautiful spring day, beautiful walk. Looking forward to visiting the village again & doing other walks - we live less than an hour away.
Absolutely scenic, brilliantly memorable destination and the walking routes are very pretty. Cafes and shops are few between but the locals are very friendly, if not, deaf and have lived there for 70 odd years. Stayed for a weekend and could have adventured for weeks.
I stayed in the vicinity because I had a business meeting nearby. Leaving at 8.00am the roads were reasonable for that time of the morning. Unfortunately I didn't see much of Great Glen so can't comment. However, I ate and stayed at the Pug & Greyhound and would endorse it to anyone who likes a nice selection of beers and excellent pub food - beef, Guinness and mushroom pie highly recommended! The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable.
