Set in Hartlepool, Sea View Guest House offers accommodations with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a shared lounge. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a continental breakfast. I certainly wasn't expecting to have a full English breakfast in with the low cost of the bed and breakfast so the cereal, take away sandwich and as much tea and coffee as I could drink where good enough for me..

The family-run Altonlea Lodge is housed in a well-restored, listed building. It opens onto a South-facing, Italian-style garden. Pleasant quite large town, has a Maritime Museum complex that is well worth a visit. Good rail links to Saltburn which is a lovely seaside resort, and also Middlesbrough. If you want a beach it's best to go to Seaton Carew, which is four minutes on the train.
The New Staincliffe as a Marquee with heating in the rear garden, this ideal for outside drinks during these covid times. As for British West Hartlepool, I was born there, but left 30 years ago. They changed the roads system whilst I've been away.
It has a lovely beach and its flat and ideal for wheelchairs and scooters also has a good shopping centre and lots of places to eat out.Parking was cheap with easy access to the shopping centre. We had lovely weather when we were there whitch makes a big difference
Only stayed one night as we were just passing through. Walking around at night to find somewhere for dinner, we noticed lots of business closed, the streets felt a bit sad and seedy with a sprawly lacklustre town centre. Things did look a bit better by the light of day, and to be fair we didn't stay around to properly investigate the town. We ate at King John's Tavern and the nachos were very good
The reason for our visit was to support our non league football team against Hartlepool in the F.A.Cup. One 'sightseeing' day was only enough to visit the most interesting and historical harbour. We will definately visit again early next Spring 2020, for a much longer stay.
It the first time I have stayed in Hartlepool. The hotel I used was near his stops that went all over the place and the train station was a short walk away. The Douglas Hotel where I stayed did a great English breakfast. In the shopping centre they a coffee stand that did lovely cakes. You can get buses to Durham, Middlesbrough and Sunderland. The train to Newcastle took you along the coast line and the staff at Hartlepool rail station were very friendly.
On first appearances property had scaffold up so wasnt expecting much as booked last minute. Room was freshly renovated, new carpet. Bed was fab, the best was the sea view, went to sleep listening to the waves. Slept like a log for 8 hours. Breakfast was great with proper cooked toast & hot food. Stuff ere polite & attentive. Shower was basic but did the job. After spending the night before in a radison blu hotel, the marine was far superior with the extra touches.
Hartlepool
We received a lovely warm welcome, we only booked last minute and got a pleasant surprise. The room we stayed in was decorated to a lovely standard, and beds were comfortable. From outside the property doesn’t look appealing at all, but once inside it’s completely different. Cheryl was so welcoming and made us feel like family straight away. It’s only a short drive to the beach and shops and arcades. Not far to Hartlepool town centre for shopping and places to eat.
Hartlepool

Hartlepool
The communication with the host was quick and polite. The property has a HUGE amount of potential but requires actual money and energy putting into it. Hartlepool and the area have a lot of places to see and explore, especially once the restrictions are fully lifted.
