This is a nice hotel in a very nice part of Surrey. The area is great for walking and the local village is lovely. Staff for the most part are very enthusiastic and our room was good...not great, just good. The food is well prepared and service excellent. The huge disappointment is the Spa. This is NOT as Spa hotel for residents, no treatments are available for guests as they take book bookings weeks in advance for outsiders. WE tried to book four weeks in advance but no-one answered the phones and when we arrived were told it wouldn't have made any difference anyway as they always book outsiders. The pool was freezing and the steam room was broken.

Haslemere has a very nice museum, and a nice town, it is in the centre of Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire, and is on the main line, with easy access to London and Portsmouth, there are beautiful walks in and around Haslemere. The downside of Haslemere is there isn’t much for the younger generation to do, especially at night.

Small country town with interesting high street and buildings. There is a museum (didn't visit due to time constraints). It is on the edge of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so a good place to use as a base to visit the area. We had 'brunch' at Oliver's. Very good and the best and biggest pot of tea for two I've had in a long time.

We didn't go into the town but walked at Frencham Ponds, Waggoners Wells, and the Devils Punchbowl. We visited Petsworth House and The Watts Gallery. All as planned and all within 30 minutes of the house

We visited Haselmere to go to NT - Petworth House and Garden. It was a few miles away. It's a fifty minute drive to the coast. NT - The Devil's Mound has stunning views and a variety of walks. That's about 15 minutes away from Haselmere. A very relaxing place to visit.

Cannot comment about Haslemere itself as a vacation area as did not get out much due to bad weather! But thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Hotel. Staff were excellent, very attentive and polite no matter how busy they obviously were. Thanks to all who made our stay so enjoyable!

We were only there for one night but from our arrival we were met by the most welcoming gentlemen in the car park who was genuinely happy to see us. He was the perfect antidote to a long drive. Booking in was efficient and pleasant. We managed to change our room for a lovely and comfortable room without fuss. Breakfast was really good, cooked according to your liking as opposed to the usual, buffet aspect in larger hotels. We will definitely return for another stay.
