Lythe Hill Hotel And Spa is a country house hotel set in the picturesque Surrey Hills. the property features a restaurant and a spa with swimming pool. Never fail to have a relaxing break here. Staff are always really hospitable. Pool with steam room and sauna are fantastic with a lovely terrace out the back. Food is great in restaurant too. Very comfortable and spacious rooms.
The Old Cook's House is located in Hindhead and offers a tennis court. The property is 15 miles from Guildford, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. The property was tastefully furnished, very clean and In a great location. Very good communication from hosts.
Haslemere as a town is quite small, but is surrounded by lovely Wooded and undulating countryside. It is not too far from London. It has easy access by train. There are numerous footpaths in that attractive area which borders West Sussex. Only down side is that there are no banks, as a result some places only except payment by card. There's are some bus routes.
The hotel was in a lovely location the staff was very friendly. When booking they should inform if spa treatments are available as we were very disappointed not able to have any as that was reason also for picking this hotel. The restaurant menu was very limited in respect of choice would benefit from some simple option like pasta dishes.
This is a nice hotel in a very nice part of Surrey. The area is great for walking and the local village is lovely. Staff for the most part are very enthusiastic and our room was good...not great, just good. The food is well prepared and service excellent. The huge disappointment is the Spa. This is NOT as Spa hotel for residents, no treatments are available for guests as they take book bookings weeks in advance for outsiders. WE tried to book four weeks in advance but no-one answered the phones and when we arrived were told it wouldn't have made any difference anyway as they always book outsiders. The pool was freezing and the steam room was broken.
Haslemere has a very nice museum, and a nice town, it is in the centre of Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire, and is on the main line, with easy access to London and Portsmouth, there are beautiful walks in and around Haslemere. The downside of Haslemere is there isn’t much for the younger generation to do, especially at night.
Small country town with interesting high street and buildings. There is a museum (didn't visit due to time constraints). It is on the edge of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so a good place to use as a base to visit the area. We had 'brunch' at Oliver's. Very good and the best and biggest pot of tea for two I've had in a long time.
We didn't go into the town but walked at Frencham Ponds, Waggoners Wells, and the Devils Punchbowl. We visited Petsworth House and The Watts Gallery. All as planned and all within 30 minutes of the house
The hotel is in a beautiful location in the Surrey Hills. We stayed in the old Tudor building and the room was full of character with a lot a old wooden beams. The hotel has everything on site for a romantic weekend away and we loved the food in the restaurant. Breakfast was also great. Would definitely book again.
The standard room was spacious enough and well presented. The bed was firm but comfortable. The best first night away sleep i've had in a hotel. Staff were incredible accommodating and eager to please.
