Located in Havant in the Hampshire region, 2A The Mews is a 4-star property boasting free WiFi. The accommodations is 11 mi from Chichester. Very clean and modern. Had everything that was needed. Facilities were really good. Beds were comfortable. Nicely decorated. Neighbours were friendly. Good location and accessible
Located in Emsworth, Hampshire region, The State Room at Seafield House is located 1.3 mi from Prinsted Beach. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. We had such a lovely stay and would absolutely recommend! Arabella the host went over and above to help accommodate our baby boy supplying a cot, toys, high chair and much more. The room had everything we could possibly need and more, the snacks were delicious and we even had a bottle of Prosecco too! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
Havant only appears to have three pubs walkable from the Bear. I think they all do food. Not a lot to do in Havant but it is a good base from which to explore Portsmouth etc. We always stay at the Bear which has great car parking. For family researchers there is a fabulous local museum with so many resources about local villages. There are three large supermarkets and an indoor shopping centre. Every fast food chain you can think of. We felt very safe walking around at night.
Havant was ok but busy. The Hotel was the problem. Atrocious service and terrible food. The toiletries were non-existent. It was more like a school for children. Non of the facilities in the pool were open. Would not go back there or recommend the hotel. It was under staffed and full of dis-gruntled people. The pool was never available.
There’s nothing exciting around, not anymore at least, most of the old building have been taken down leaving room for unattractive mall, drive through Pizza Hut and not much more. Good point is that it sit a stone thrown away from Portsmouth, Southampton Chichester and South Down National Park so if you drive it’s a very good starting point to explore the area.
Excellent food!! Good and friendly staff. Poor cleaning and poor safety standards for the time we are living in. Toilet rolls from Poundland, provably, as the paper was as thin as air. They didn't clean our room as we didn't ask in reception that we wanted the room to be clean (???). We were not advise when checking in about this. I had to ask for toilet rolls to the housekeeper as only one, very thin and as I said, you needed to use a lot or clean yourself with your hand. No even a little piece of soap, in the times when you need to wash your hands constantly. And this is a spa hotel? Very poor standards in cleaning even if was a B&B. Staff and fool good -except reception.
I grew up here. Like other towns, many shops have closed. However, there is still a buzz during day around East Street and part of North Street, where most shops and cafes are. Also, a lot of ex shops have been used for other things and it looks ok, as opposed to derelict - I think the phrase is a good street scene. I personally prefer the climate on the Sputh coast. When the sun's out, Havant looks lovely. Near Langstone Harbour, a good places to stay for a short break.
I perhaps had an inflated idea of what the sea would look like so the tidal nature of the view was disappointing. To be fair we were attending a wedding so did not have time to have a good look around.
