Great location If you want to sleep somewhere after a night...
Great location If you want to sleep somewhere after a night out then this is ok - its expensive , the pillows were bad , the shower was a poor trickle and it was v noisy (but we had been warned about the noise and nothing earplugs dont solve). reserve your own table if you want breakfast as they dont reserve any for guests - we left when told we were sitting at the actual bar (thought they meant bar area when they called )

Seemed like a nice town, plenty of bars and restaurants, including a rather upmarket Wetherspoons ! Be careful if you park in the large council car park, behind the Main Street. I parked overnight, and got a fine the next day. Instructions misleading. I am appealing !

You have to park on multi story.
You have to park on multi story. Followed instructions on arrival to gain entry, no body there, only gained entry after off duty staff popped in . Very helpful with information where to park and took us to room.lorettaUnited Kingdom - Scored 1010

Salisbury Arms is my favourite hotel and I always stay there when in Hertford The staff are friendly, the rooms are just great and so is the breakfast ! The location in a quiet street, yet right in the centre of Hertford , is perfect. Just a few minutes walk from lovely cafes , The Old Barge pub by the canal and the Saturday market, and a few minutes to long walks along the river.KristinNorway

They are very busy as they function for private parties as we were guests at one of the parties, which was in the covered courtyard with a private bar. Staff were exceptionally nice and friendly both in reception and the bar. The room was really nice, clean, comfortable with all extras like tea, coffee, and biscuits 😋. Room even had an iron with mini iron board. All together a great hotel in the centre of Hertford.
