Located on the edge of Quantock Hills, Groom's Cottage is a holiday home with a large garden and terrace, surrounded by hills and countryside. It is 0.6 mi from the village of Klive. Great peaceful rural location, lovely cottage and grounds with outside bbq space. Ann was lovely and really helpful and the cottage was perfect, beautifully appointed and very nicely furnished. Nice little touches with the flowers, cookies and toiletries. We loved having all the animals around though apologies we inadvertently kidnapped Frankie! Would recommend to all and would definitely stay again. Thanks very much!

The room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. The owners made our stay perfect. They were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Fantastic value for money.
This 16th century country house is on the slopes of the Quantock Hills, 15 miles from Exmoor National Park. It has quiet gardens, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a restaurant. Beautiful hotel, room smartly done, staff extremely accomodating, many extras that most places overlook. Dinner was superb - breakfast included in price was very good. Would have stayed on if we didnt have plans.

A lovely quiet location ideally situated for walking with many trails to choose from literally just outside the front door. Stunning surroundings and an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle. Relaxing, good standard of food in and around the local area but within easy reach of the main motorways. The Hood Arms, The Farmers Arms, The Lamb Inn are highly recommended. Walks to the Quantock Hills, Holford Combe and Kilve Beach are lovely walks to consider. Creams teas at the nearby Combe Hotel are also not to be missed.
Holford is a really pretty village and an ideal base to explore the Quantocks. The village has a friendly pub, The Plough Arms which offers good value food and there is a hotel, Combe House where we had afternoon tea in the garden.
The property was very good and the surroundings and furnishings were top quality. It would be very difficult to get to the hotel without transport as it is about a mile off the main road, down a single track road and very remote. If you like peace and quiet and solitude it would be ideal.
A beautiful area for wild life and walking up the combe onto the hills. Good places in walking - and hiking distance for eating out and a beer or two. The Combe House Hotel for lazy lunch on Sunday or a cream tea in the garden . The Plough for well priced and hearty pub food. Coleridge Cottage in Nether Stowey worth a visit.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice walks in all directions from the hotel. It is possible to walk over the Quantock Hills to a few pubs for lunch from the hotel. Coleridge. Cottage in Nether Stowey and Dunster Castle both worth a visit ( both National Trust).
