The Golden Lion Hotel has a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Hunstanton. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The Golden Lion Hotel was a lovely place to stay. Friendly staff on reception, the evening and morning staff. Made me feel very welcome. Hopefully it will be great to return again sometime. Set in a lovely location by the sea with sea views. The cleanliness was amazing i couldn't fault them at all on that. The food was lovely too. The room was very nice ( with a nice comfy bed) ideal for my visit and the bathroom was a lovely size. A lovely place to stay.

Heacham Manor Hotel is a Grade II listed Country House set in picturesque gardens with an 18-hole golf course and an award-winning restaurant, just 1.5 miles from Hunstanton. This is hotel next to the golf course. We are no golf players, but it didn't bother us, nor the staff, nor anyone else. It's an attractive hotel with relatively large rooms, a clean bathroom with a hot shower, amenities in the room, and very British. As a Dutch couple we like this kind of hotel: walking up and down old looking stairs, typical colours of wallpaper and tapestry, a variety of lazy chairs, a pub/bar, and a maze of rooms and areas to enjoy a drink, or read a book. Outside are golfers, who take an after-golf drink 'in waves', and all of this has made our stay a great experience. In addition: good breakfast, good wines, sufficient variety of the (one AA Rozette) dinner menu, with quick and efficient service. And lots of parking space for our car.

Many families visiting Hunstanton loved staying at The Lodge, The Lifeboat Inn, and Heacham Manor Hotel.
Lovely country setting but the hotel did not cater for the number of guests on site. Not enough room in the restaurant for us to have breakfast when we wanted or dinner, and very limited bar and lounge facilities. Lovely staff and wildlife on site. We found a good Bistro in Hunstanton and the Gin Trap Inn is also a great place to eat and drink.
not enough places open to eat in the evening if you want to eat after 20.30 only takeaways which is not good if staying in hotels or bed & breakfast accomadation, abd it was hit & miss with coffee shops during the day
I went there for a specific purpose, namely to compete in a croquet tournament. It's a nice enough place but not really my scene. There is plenty to explore in the surrounding area such as King's Lynn and the area around Hunstanton.
The wash monster tour to seal island was really enjoyable and informative a bit noisy, would recommend ear defenders if noise sensitive. And the sea life centre was great nice to see the seals up close. You have to book on line for sea life so can’t just drop in unless you use a smart phone. The people were very friendly.
We came in the period between the high season and the low season which meant that some facilities were closed. We wanted to visit the Sea Life Centre but we could not - there were no sign saying that it was closed and when/if it was reopening. This was disappointing but the town generally was buzzing.
We had visited "New Hunstanton" previously which was not to our taste but ideal if you have children who need "amusements". This time "Old Hunstanton" was much more our style, and the position of the Caley Hotel is ideal for walking down to the beach, about 10 minutes average walker, longer if infirm. The village is pretty but on this short trip we didn't investigate although there appeared to be a lighthouse & cliffs. The beach we visited (mid-Sep) was reached through grassy dunes, it was lovely clean sand & windswept & could be walked easily (about a mile?). The tide was out leaving sandbanks the gulls wheeled about on. I believe there was a bird sanctuary at the far end. There is no vehicular access to the beach at this end, near the Caley Hotel, hence being seemingly un-crowded but enjoyed by many dog walkers.
Hunstanton
Exceptionally clean in the whole building. Covid secure. Lovely old house freshly decorated with lovely soft carpets. Host was very helpful and friendly. I had a small budget room but it had everything in it i needed. There is some seating outside for guests to sit in. the property is right in the middle of Hunstanton so everything is in walikng distance. it was perfect for my stay as i went on my own. I would definitely recommend this property for a stay in Hunstanton.
Thank you Golden Lion for an amazing stay last week. EVERY member of staff was friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. The hotel is truly dog friendly which was refreshing. Hearty fresh breakfasts, comfy rooms, happy environment in a wonderful character hotel looking out to sea....Perfect! You made my wife's 50th Birthday holiday break away really special! Brilliant! Well done.
Very good accommodation, rooms were well furnished bathroom very good with separate bath and shower cubicle. Main hotel building bar and restaurant all very good. Staff were very good. The whole place was very laid back and welcoming. Location handy for north Norfolk coast and Hunstanton. Heacham has 3 good pubs which all serve good food. Would highly recommend for a short break
We could find absolutely no fault with the Lifeboat. The location is superb. We were greeted on entry by a very pleasant receptionist who made us feel welcome. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed all the meals we had there. It is a charming hotel. All the staff were pleasant and attentive. We hope it will not be long before we return.

The Burleigh is a well-kept older property, in a quiet street in the centre of Hunstanton, with good private parking. It was squeaky clean and the hosts made a lot of effort to minimise the risk of Covid transmission. They provided an excellent breakfast, freshly cooked to order. The hosts were very helpful, efficient and friendly.
Modern bathroom, location was next to Hunstanton beach, beautiful location for a hotel. Free parking for residents. Pub next door offered fast and friendly service for drinks (2 mineral waters & 1 half lager=£6 ish). Peaceful nights sleep. Tea/coffee making stuff in room/TV worked.
