One of the most historic hotels in Scotland with turrets and spiral staircases, Pittodrie House is set in 2,400 acres of land, just a 30-minute drive from Aberdeen. Great staff. Warm welcome and very friendly and efficient service. Always willing to engage. Great atmosphere. You can always rely on the fire being on in the lounge. Great food. You can rely on the menu choice and the food quality too.
Located in Monymusk in the Grampian region, Grant Arms provides accommodations with free WiFi. A à la carte breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast. Super comfortable bed and extremely quiet. Great breakfast and lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend this B&B if you’re likely to be in the Aberdeen area and don’t want to pay Aberdeen prices.
Insch is a great location if you're looking to get around Speyside. It is a drive so mae sure someone has committed to being the designated driver. Located between aberdeen and dufftown perfectly, it's a beautiful drive, absolute silence at night, and the Station Hotel is a stand out in the area for quality and price. Highly recommend staying there for a family atmosphere.
Our cottage was one of the best we have stayed in. It was in a lovely peaceful location and our hosts had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Insch is only a small place, but it had several shops and the people were riendly and helpful. Inverurie is a nearby, bigger town with a lively feel to it, and a good selection of shops and things going on. Plenty of eating places. Insch is in a good position to explore the area, with good roads and places of interest.
Climb to the hill fort at the top of Dunnideer. Forest walks and climb on the Bennachie range of hill tops. There is a good train service. Insch is situated just off the main A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road. Places to eat are Kellogbank, Morgan McVeigh, The Old Post Office at Chapel of Garioch.
