Rudha-na-Craige

Inveraray

Located in Inveraray, 1.4 mi from Inveraray Castle, Rudha-na-Craige features accommodations with a shared lounge, free private parking and a garden. We had an excellent 3 night stay at Rudha na Craige in Inveraray. It’s a beautiful large victorian property with glorious views of the mountains and loch. It’s clean and comfortable. Special attention was made with several covid cleaning measures. The room: we stayed in the large king room with incredible views of the loch. The room is just beautiful. It’s absolutely gigantic. The giant windows provide an incredible view of the loch and mountains. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. The bathroom is also larger than average and includes the most powerful hot shower I’ve ever used. Also includes a separate bathtub. There’s a seat by the window over looking the loch. Everything was clean and spotless too. Breakfast: breakfast is in the dining room. With just a handful of guests at any one time, there was plenty of distancing and space. The views overlooking the loch are brilliant. The owners Robert and Jana were very accomodating to our dietary requirements and made a fantasic vegetarian and vegan breakfast. We liked that they were able to include some items not specifically from the menu. The new tofu dish was also lovely. The breakfast was prepared and served well. No complaints at all. Hospitality: Robert and Jana are excellent hosts. Warm, friendly and helpful. It makes the stay extra enjoyable and adds to the charm of the house. One day we did an unforgettable drive up to Glencoe and Fort William. The mountains are just beautiful. We also captured some lovely photos/videos of the Jacobite Express at the Glenfinnan viaduct. Definitely recommend. We have stayed in a variety of hotels and BnBs all over the world, and this one ranks particularly highly. Definitely recommend.

Powdermills B & B

Inveraray

Powdermills B & B features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Inveraray, 7.5 mi from Inveraray Castle. We started our Scotland trip here with a two night stay and we wish we could have been here longer. It was EXCELLENT. John and Sue are warm and friendly and have you feeling at home. Their home is beautiful and the grounds took our breath away. The ruins of the powdermills and the various walks around them, all within view of Loch Fyne, are an awesome way to relax and enjoy a bit of historic Scotland. The breakfast was so good and the Lorne sausage was my 1st! We all enjoyed our greeting at the gate from Mabel and Boo, 2 additional hosts who love to play. Our rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated with lots of space. Sue is a wonderful baker and her scones and jam were very much appreciated. We loved this home and its hosts!
