Set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens, the Kingsmill Hotel has a spa, a swimming pool and free parking. Inverness city center is just one mile away. We had a lovely stay at The Kingsmills in a family room with a king bed and a set of bunk beds. The room was a great size and very clean. Breakfast was good with the usual selection of continental and cooked. We also ate in the bar on one of the nights and enjoyed our meal there. Swimming pool was good, it’s quite small but perfect for our kids as not too deep for learners. One thing that did stand out was the friendliness of the staff, all were very welcoming and friendly!

Got a marriage proposal so for me I had the most wonderful time with my fiancé. Inverness itself was stunning. Nice town, high street. And was surprised with the quality of shops it had. We bought my engagement ring while we visited
Beautiful city, capital of the Highlands, wound by a breeze of history with multiple activities around the area. It feels like everything is a bit more laid back in that area, in contrast to busy cities. We only managed to see the Loch Ness and have a little hike on the nearby hills, also planned to visit the Culloden Battlefield but we didn't manage due to an issue with bus schedules. A good tip for future travellers: if staying in nearby villages and without a car, make sure you're aware of bus schedules as the last bus back may be quite early during the day (especially on Sundays). We ate at Johnny Foxes (delicious Cullen Skink and Chicken Rob Roy! although beware for the size of the portions, everything just looks too delicious on the menu!). We also ate at the Filling Station where we ordered a delicious vegan burger and a chicken wrap. One of the reasons we chose to stay in Inverness is because it has a good connection with big cities and it's enough to take just one not four buses to get there, in comparison to getting to the smaller villages around. Inverness is quite small, circa 26.5km^2. In Inverness we only really moved around the centre but it was quite easy to move around town, with a doable walking distance to facilities. The prices are also generally lower than in big cities. We will definitely come back as there is so many precious locations to visit in that area and a weekend is just not enough. Safe travels folks!
Inverness is one of the best place to say in Scottish highlands. Inverness shopping centre is amazing as well as it has all you need there. Must visit all little villages around Inverness. It was most memorable trip for me and my family.
I have visited Inverness a few times. I found people very helpful and supportive. Friendly and willing to help. I will be returning in a few weeks with a mother and daughter break of 4 days. Looking forward to my return.
Inverness is a beautiful city so small it's easy to walk around, lovely walk along the River Ness to the Free Botanical Gardens. Lots of places to eat, drink and shop and enjoy the Highlands hospitality
HAVING VISITED THIS CITY FOR MANY YEARS I ALWAYS ENJOY THE SETTING, VIEWS AND MANY SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND WALKS WE TAKE ON OUR WEEKENDS. WE ATE AT A CHINESE TAKEAWAY WHICH WAS VERY NICE AND ALSO AT REVOLUTION WHERE WE HAD LOVELY TAPAS AND COCKTAILS. SHOPS ARE GOOD CHOICE AND PEOPLE ARE VERY FRIENDLY.
Inverness
Absolutely perfect!!! It was the best B&B during our 3 weeks stay in Scotland. Marion and her husband are so friendliy and interested. They gave us plenty of good tips. They always take time for their guests. The breakfast was delicious. The whole house and the rooms are nice decotated with attention to each detail. We felt welcome at anytime. The location is perfect (only a few minutes by foot to Inverness). We really look forward to staying again at the Strome Lodge. Thank you very much!
Inverness
Ivanhoe was one of my favorite stays on my trip to Scotland. Directions and check-in were easy, Janette’s son was polite and helpful, room was cozy, clean, had its own bathroom, and nice personal touches. I got in late so missed a chance to get dinner on my way so the crisps and biscuits provided in my room were a godsend! The best part of all was the homemade breakfast and Janette’s smiling face which started my day off nicely. I would absolutely recommend and stay here again.
Excellent staff, super friendly.. they couldn’t do enough for you. The bar and restaurant area are modern and fresh with little trees with fairy lights which are beautiful! We sat outside on the decked area and had drinks and it’s lovely out there too! Our room was lovely! Bathroom modern and spotless.. we’ve stayed at a few hotels in Inverness and this was recommended by a friend.. what a find?!?! Best place we’ve stayed in and when we go back it’s where we’ll book!!!
What didn't we like? This is probably the best place I've stayed in Scotland. The property is a bit outside of the city but it is gorgeous! The staff were fantastic and incredibly kind. The food was amazing as well. We recommend to get the pork belly for dinner if it is offered! One night, there was a leak that set off the fire alarm. One quick call and the staff were there to help. The problem was resolved within 30 minutes.
this hotel was hidden gem off the golf course! it was close to this sweet pub called the fluke and not far from the City Center. we chose this hotel due to the tour we had booked, which picked us up right at the front door which made the price worth it for us. it had an old fashioned feel but not in a scary dated kind of way. the staff also made us feel comfortable and safe which helped make our stay in Inverness wonderful.
Inverness
Everything was above our expectations. We were made to feel totally at home by Margaret who ran the accommodation. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There was an excellent choice of hot and cold food at breakfast. Good safe parking and convenient for Inverness and the surrounding area. The best accommodation we have had touring Scotland. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic time staying here. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the room was a perfect size. Breakfast was delicious. What was most appreciated was the helpfulness of the staff: they helped us find a Loch Ness boat tour and gave us great recommendations for local walks. A perfect place to stay in Inverness.
Inverness
Very conveniently located and the kind owner let me keep my bike inside for the whole day after I checked out. It was a pity we could only have a takeaway breakfast as for the previous 14 nights in hotels and guest houses up the north west coast of Scotland we were able to have a fantastic cooked breakfast
Inverness
Absolutely brilliant. We travel a lot for work and this is the best, cheapest and most comfortable place we've stayed in Scotland in years. Off street parking is a major plus. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to online queries prior to checking in.
Inverness
