Inverness is a great, mid-sized city not far from Loch Ness and the Culloden Battlefield and filled with fun shopping, great pubs with live music and very, very walkable. Don't miss Victorian Gardens, an excellent area for souvenirs (both the usual and the very unusual), and while the castle, as I write this, is undergoing work, the statue of Fiona MacDonald out front is still very visible. We did an overnight stop, but I would have liked an extra day.
We were 8 golfers. The place had everything we needed. Well stocked. If you are a golf party I would highly recommend. The man cave is over the top. Centrally located and spacious. Plenty of parking. Can’t say enough about how we enjoyed Laird House. If you are going to play the courses in the Highlands (Dornoch, Nairn, Castle Stuart,Brora) this is the place to stay. There is a store right behind the house for coffee , beer, etc.. and it’s a short walk into central Inverness. We ate one night at Rocpol. One of the golfers who eats regularly in NYC Manhattan said the quality of the food at Rocpol was of equal quality. If you are staying in Inverness this is the place.
Inverness offers a lot of interesting things to do and see. It's better if you have a car. There are very very few cabs, no uber and its almost impossible to get to the airport before 6:30 AM so plan for that
I have a dog and she loved Ness Islands and we did a boat trip on the Loch which was great and a dolphin watching trip in the Moray Firth which wasn't very good as I didn't see any dolphins. We went to the Culloden battlefields and a fabulous beach at Nairn and the Nairn viaduct. We also went to the Rogie falls and Divach falls We were here 3 days and I think that's the right amount of time.
Inverness is a nice clean and friendly city. Lots to see and do for all ages whether it's playing in the lovely parks, playing crazy golf, walking along the canal path, watching the locks operating, plenty of places to eat and drink to suit all price ranges. Lots of nice places to visit round about for a day trip.
Beautiful small city, lots to do in the surrounding area, quaint with lots of charm, fund and bustling downtown area but also beautiful and peaceful in and around the city, with wonderful views and walks around the river that flows through the middle of town.
Shower was huge for a corner unit and great after day of activities. The beds where all comfortable and great night sleep. The room was clean and well kept the bedding was spotless. Plenty towels which is always what I check. The room had no air con but the window and fan was good and water being supplied was great. Can ask the staff got ice and it was great. Food was awesome so fresh and tasty. The pizza was amazing and so different and the salt shed was the best thing as well for the fresh seafood taste you want from a hotel and Inverness.
Inverness
Absolutely perfect!!! It was the best B&B during our 3 weeks stay in Scotland. Marion and her husband are so friendliy and interested. They gave us plenty of good tips. They always take time for their guests. The breakfast was delicious. The whole house and the rooms are nice decotated with attention to each detail. We felt welcome at anytime. The location is perfect (only a few minutes by foot to Inverness). We really look forward to staying again at the Strome Lodge. Thank you very much!
Excellent staff, super friendly.. they couldn’t do enough for you. The bar and restaurant area are modern and fresh with little trees with fairy lights which are beautiful! We sat outside on the decked area and had drinks and it’s lovely out there too! Our room was lovely! Bathroom modern and spotless.. we’ve stayed at a few hotels in Inverness and this was recommended by a friend.. what a find?!?! Best place we’ve stayed in and when we go back it’s where we’ll book!!!
Inverness
this place was perfect. it was a 5 minute drive (if that) into Inverness. everything about the place was fantastic. it was clean, spacious, cute, and nice. it was the best place we stayed in our two week trip to Scotland. I would recommend everyone to stay here. unfortunately we weren’t able to use the hot tub but that would have been an extra bonus. they provided croissants, bread, jam, milk, and butter for breakfast. the hosts were kind and friendly.
Inverness
Plenty of space for 7 adults, we didn't use the hot tub or barbecue area as added after we booked and didn't feel the need to pay the additional optional extra, however the garden looked great. Very easy to walk to inverness and lovely walks along the river and canal. Good takeaway and restaurant service close by. Perfect house for our family get together in a beautiful part of Scotland.
Inverness
The best stay we had in Scotland! Mrs. Grant took the time to send us a very explicit description of location and direction to the apartment. We had no problem finding it and to our surprise, the apartment was very clean with everything your heart desires. We had enough beverages for breakfast! And even laundry detergent - so great ! A perfect stay, thanks to Mrs. Grant!
Inverness
Liam was very nice, he has introduced us the house and the city. the hotel is in a typical Inverness house and with a fully equipped clean kitchen. The feeling was like home, many supermarket around, Aldi is 5 mins by foot. For me, it was so practical, because as vegetarian, i was so tired with Scottish hamburger. this hotel gave us the best experience in Scotland.
Inverness
Breakfast was excellent and owners were friendly and very helpful. There was a car park at the rear for safe parking. Room was a good size with a large bed and shower was superb. The hotel was situated 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of Inverness. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if we were in Inverness.
location is perfect! easy walking distance to everything Inverness has to offer. what a lovely city. view of the river is so serene, wonderful to wake up to. lobby well decorated. staff were gracious. it was comfortable enough for two days. has usb charger beside the table which is convenient. hotel has parking albeit small.
As per usual it was a top class service with a smile from every staff member the facilities are perfect and so clean it's unbelievable it's such a large hotel nothing ever slips really isn't anywhere else to consider staying in Inverness
A very smart modern hotel very close to Inverness Airport. The room and beds were very comfortable and the shower room was top end. Dinner was delicious and good value. I had a one night stay before an early flight and this worked well for me.
Inverness
Everything is clean, and the bedrooms are super comfortable and cosy. We were amazed that we could stay in such a fantastic property in Inverness. All of my friends agree here is the best accommodation for our journey in Scotland.
Inverness
This is a great wee, no frills cheap comfortable hotel, its not the Ritz and does not pretend to be, but if you need to stay in Inverness and on a budget, you cant beat this place for value for money, highly recommended.
Inverness
Best sleep I had in Scotland. Great bed and pillows. Protruding was close to center of town but still quiet. Kathleen is an amazing hostess. I would defiantly recommend Aberfeldy and hope to stay here again.
Comfortable beds Good bathroom Had 2 meals in bar and 2 breakfasts, all of which were excellent. Very friendly staff. Best hotel we've stayed in in Scotland, would definitely recommend.
Great atmosphere- modern with heritage, friendly staff, wonderful location at the river. Our favorite hotel on our 14 days Scotland trip.
