Location of breakfast was great. Took forever to get coffee which was horrible. Full Scottish breakfast was Ok. We opted to not have breakfast the second day. Thought it wasn’t worth the price. Took too long to get food as well. It was a busy weekend but it felt like a factory.

Checking in at 4pm- shifts were handing over, so 15 minutes wait at the desk was "justified". Tip- please hand the float over at your secluded desk area so you can address guests when needed. Unless you don't trust the next shift with your morning cash -poor, poor and poor. Making us wait, so that housekeeper had to point to you that people wait at reception is unacceptable for a hotel- are guests even important to you? Please ensure breakfast is replenished swiftly. You have signs about busy times, but looks like staff ignores these times. Doesn't make sense-especially as it is a buffet set buffet.
Inverness has a lot to offer - eating out, culture and history, superb walks amongst beautiful scenic routes and friendly people to name but a few of this city’s assets. Like most cities it has it’s share of less attractive elements but in general feels pretty safe and has a friendly vibe most of the time. Take a cruise along Loch Ness, watch a film in the excellent Eden Court theatre, plenty to get up to during your stay!
Inverness is a quiet city. You can explore the centre in 1 day. Just outside Inverness you can make nice walks, eg the Caledonian Canal (sea lock and railway swing bridge) and all the way down to the botanical garden. If you want pizza, the Cheese and Tomatin is a good choice.
Inverness is a great base for day trips around the Highlands. We saw Dunrobin Castle, Castle Leod, the Isle of Skye, and Culloden Battlefield, and even went whale watching on the opposite side of the country. The city is clean and easily navigable.
Inverness, the picturesque gem of the Scottish Highlands, offers a delightful blend of history and natural beauty. Nestled along the River Ness, its star attraction is the iconic Inverness Castle, offering stunning panoramas of the city. History buffs will revel in the Culloden Battlefield, a poignant reminder of Scotland's past. Don't miss the mystical Loch Ness, home of the legendary monster, and Urquhart Castle perched on its shores. For a serene escape, stroll through the serene Ness Islands or explore the enchanting Cawdor Castle. Inverness enchants with its captivating landscapes and rich heritage, making it an unforgettable destination for any traveler.
We only did a half day and most of that was dedicated to a tour of the Loch and some local castles and historical sites. That said the town is beautiful and is central to a bunch of important historical sites and great historical distilleries. Not to mention the world famous Loch Ness.
We were looking for somewhere to stop off on our way back from a holiday in the north of Scotland and I remembered going to this hotel for breakfast as a child, after getting off the London - Inverness sleeper train. It has a slightly faded grandeur, with the imposing double staircase and tartan carpets. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed dinner in the Ash Restaurant and breakfast next morning was also very good. My parents' room actually looked out over one of the platforms of the railway station!
The Radcliffe Hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Inverness. It was very cozy but had all the modern touches. The room we stayed in looked directly at the castle with nothing obstructing our view. The room was very large and perfect for a family! The hotel restaurant had a fantastic menu and served the best food we had while in Scotland!! The location is very central and an easy walk from both the train and bus stations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!!
Inverness
Perfect, simply perfect. A whole house with two bedrooms, a large, comfortable living room, a separate dining room and a large kitchen plus a little terrace area. Everything perfectly clean and in good state. Inner town in Inverness is only 5 minutes away by foot, and the Tesco alomost next door. The best acccomodation we had on our three weeks trip to Scotland. Nice communication with the owners.
Inverness
Everything...the rooms were cozy, free use of the house was great. Querky, antiquie house with outside area and beehives!!! Breakfasts were fantastic and a great start to the day... With something for everyone. Charming host who just wants you to have a relaxing time at his house whilst sampling the delights of Inverness and Scotland... Fantastic time with my two adult sons and partner 😀
Inverness
This was my partner's favourite stay in Scotland. You really step into a new world of tranquility when you walk in. The room is very spacious, more than the photos show. It was a cold night and the heater was on waiting for us. The bed is comfy and the shower refreshing. For a getaway from the city, this was a pleasant surprise.
Inverness
Our host was just the most lovely person. I spoke to her a few times before our stay and each time she was grand. She recommended restaurants in the area and even helped us make a reservation. Our accommodations were spacious and beautiful and breakfast was amazing. When we come back to Scotland we will definitely stay here again!
Nice location if you want to travel to other places from here. We went to Kyle of Lochalsh by train which was the reason we went to Inverness. Hotel is lovely, nice and helpful staff, cheap and nice food. We ended up staying an extra night because of unforeseen circumstances. 5 minutes walk from the train and bus station
Inverness
We only stayed one night at Aye Stay as we were traveling towards Isle of Skye. The decor was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. A big thank you to Roberta who gave us an ‘Aye Stay to the left bracelet’ when she found out we were driving in Scotland for the first time. 😁 Would stay here again.
