Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness

Hotel in Inverness

Set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens, the Kingsmill Hotel, Inverness has a spa, a swimming pool and free parking. Inverness city center is just one mile away. We spent 5 days at the hotel last week and had a fantastic time. We booked to stay in a Garden room and it was perfect for us, it was so cosy and quiet. It was lovely having a nice view to the garden area, there is a table and chairs on the patio but we didn’t get the weather to sit out. Would be lovely in the summer months. Food was overall really good and a good variety. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast and more than sufficient for us each morning. We ate in the restaurant 2 evenings and ate out in Inverness the other 2. Both evenings we ate in the hotel our meals were first class and couldn’t fault them at all. Service by every single person we spoke to was outstanding, from the girl checking us in to the bar and restaurant staff. Everyone was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Pool and gym were ideal for us too as we like to use them most days. Gym equipment is not the most up to date but for a hotel gym it was ideal and helped burn the calories from desserts and wine !!!! Overall a grear hotel in a great location for exploring the Highlands and we will def be back.

The King's Highway Wetherspoon

Hotel in Inverness City Centre, Inverness

The King's Highway Wetherspoon is located in Inverness in the Highlands region, a 5-minute walk from Inverness Castle. We travelled with our 5 year old son and I had requested the property for an extra large double bed. And boy! We were surprised with a room that had a king size bed and a queen size bed. The heater in the room kept us warm. The wetherspoon restaurant attached to the hotel had the best breakfast (we are vegetarians) and also good choice for dinner as well. The food was fresh and super delicious.

The Royal Highland Hotel

Hotel in Inverness City Centre, Inverness

Next to Inverness Train Station, this hotel has a grand staircase that was inspired by the stairway in the Titanic. It is a friendly, welcoming hotel with 2 restaurants and free parking. The breakfast had great variety of food, and everything was amazing. Loved the vintage vibe of the hotel. Loved the key detail, electronic cards are so cold. I've never realize this until I stayed in this hotel, but when someone hands you a key it feels so much warmer and welcoming than an electronic card.

Mercure Inverness Hotel

Hotel in Inverness City Centre, Inverness

Set in the heart of Inverness city center and overlooking the River Ness, Mercure Inverness has a free high-speed WiFi. Inverness Rail Station is 656 feet from the hotel. Incredile Location, is a few meters from the train station and very close to the castle and the river. My room was little but comfortable, the view on internal street was good. Also with the presence of some pubs near the hotel's windows we haven't problem of noise. We have also used parking, really useful.
