The centrally located Heathmount Hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from Inverness Castle, and offers Scottish whiskey, Illy coffee and freshly mixed cocktails in its 2 contrasting bars. View was poor as we were in the loft but not the hotels fault the room was so dark to sleep in and cost too a little annoying having the bathroom next to you as we had en suit but apart from that feedback was positive very clean and en suit was beautiful staff were polite and very helpful too

This was not a holiday visit but I have been to Inverness many times. The city has lots of things for tourists; good places to eat; the usual types of shops etc. and is not too large to walk around comfortably. Also the river runs through the city and is a lovely place to be.
A charming city full of history. A compact place with everything available locally, train, bus, shops and hotels. If you fancy going around, do not forget to walk down the Ness Islands full of an astonishing range of the ancient forest, truly breathtaking place to relax and walk. There is something for everyone in Inverness.
Inverness is a lovely small city with lovely photographic opportunities by the River Ness. Took a short (8 min) bus trip out to South Kessock which was beautiful. Then walked through the Merkinch Local Nature Reserve to the Caledonian Canal.
Nice small so easy to walk around ,Tourist information right in the middle of the High Street, lovely friendly ladies ,bigger range of shops than I expected ,some nice old pubs and a Weatherspoons too, handy for trip to Loch Ness ,recommend Jacobite Tours ,good value .
Inverness is a beautiful city with a lot to do. My only minor greivance was the lack of LGBT+ culture that is open and available to visitors. A very small problem overall that doesn't chamge my overall opinion of Inverness as a place to visit but I would have liked to see some more inclusivity.
For me it is a very attractive and pleasant place. It is not a big city but it is very interesting with kind and friendly local people. I really liked the landscape of the city and the city's positive atmosphere. In the future I will travel back to this great city for sure.

We were in Inverness for only 2 days of a 3 week tour of Scotland. Torridon was perfect for our purposes. A short walk to downtown. We had the family room for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 almost adults). The room was not huge but it was fine. We put the suitcases under the beds freeing up space. Breakfasts were great. We can’t thank Russell enough - a congenial host and lots of excellent suggestions for things to see and do!

Lovely and cosy B&B, we had a great stay and enjoyed not only our nice and clean room, but an amazing, rich scottish breakfast in the morning. The owner was very lovely and helpful, we stayed one night before our trip to the highlands. Great to have free private parking; the B&B is just a ten minutes walk outside the city centre of Inverness. We would definately recommend it and come back on our next trip to Scotland!

The hosts were warm and welcoming and very helpful in getting settled in Inverness. The room was comfortable, quite, and well stocked with biscuits, sherry, and scotch. The location is a short walk to most of the major sites and restaurants. There is parking on the grounds of the B&B or street parking with a permit the hosts provide. We really enjoyed our stay.
