Featuring garden views, Upper Level Flat nearby GLW Airport provides accommodations with a terrace and an electric tea pot, around 1.4 miles from University of West Scotland. Lovely apartment in a good location. We loved the facilities and all of the breakfast items. It was a real home away from home. Would definitely recommend.
Located 2.7 mi from Glasgow Airport, Homestay Oakridge Crescent features free WiFi access and free private parking. Each room has a shared bathroom. A flat-screen TV is available. A friend and I stayed a the Oakridge Crescent homestay (airbnb) for two days at the beginning and two days at the end of a 3 week bicycle tour of Scotland. It is a modest three bedroom home in a quiet neigborhood that is a few miles from the GLA airport or about 20GBP. The taxi driver said that there were some places in Paisley that were not so nice but this area was relatively new and it was fine. We took one of the two bedrooms that Elizabeth rents out in her home. Elizabeth had the other bedroom and we shared one bathroom. The room was comfortable, with a TV, hot water pot, and coffees/teas etc. The house is an easy walk to a small grocery and not too far a walk to downtown Paisley and Gilmour street train station. Probably too far it you are lugging baggage. For us this was perfect. Elizabeth let us store some bicycle boxes during our trip and we had the back yard as a place to assemble/pack up our bikes. It does rain in Scotland but not her fault. She called taxis for us and was very helpful to us in our preparations for our tour. This is exactly what it is called. You are a guest in a person’s home and I enjoyed it. It is polite to let her know when you will arrive since she has a life apart from this. I was happy to get to know Elizabeth and her Scottish visitor. Fun.
Featuring garden views, The Residence @ Hill House provides accommodations with a patio and a kettle, around 6.2 mi from Braehead Arena. The hosts had taken exceptional care to make sure that the property felt welcoming and like home from the moment of arrival. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with high quality furnishings and fixtures throughout. Excellent anticipation of guest comfort and convenience - with everything thought of from a welcome basket on arrival to quality toileteries in the bathroom. I travel extensively for work and I'm lucky enough to stay in some top quality hotels. It is not an exaggeration to say that The Residence at Hill House is right up there with the top boutique hotels I've experienced. The property, facilities and attention to detail are a testament to hosts who have set out (and succeeded) in providing something extra special. A great base for our family walking holiday - and I won't hesitate to recommend it.
WE WERE JUST HAPPY TO BE HOME AGAIN , BUT IT HAS GONE DOWN HILL A BIT , BUT HAD A GREAT TIME CATCHING UP WITH FRIENDS AND TALKING OLD TIMES . WE HAD OUR WEDDING RECEPTION THERE 42 YEARS AGO PROBABLY NOT OF MUCH INTEREST TO OTHER TRAVELLERS WHY WE WERE THERE . BUT LOVED IT , WOULD LOVE TO STAY AGAIN FOR LONGER . FOOD , STAFF , ROOMS WERE ALL EXCELLENT
Hotel was lovely, staff excellent but our toilet was blocked and flooded the bathroom. The first night we couldn’t move rooms as the hotel was full . It was fixed the next day when we were at a wedding which was the reason we were there but within an hour blocked again and flooded the bathroom which was unpleasant.
This was a return to my hometown. It is ideally situated for travel to the coast or Glasgow. It is also very close to Glasgow airport and has good rail and bus links. To have a very good hotel there makes it an ideal base for business or leisure.
I loved everything about this hotel and so did all our guest. The staff are amazing and the hotel is so luxurious. The food is out of this world and our wedding day was absolutely perfect. You honestly won't want to leave this hotel especially if you have the honeymoon suite
Super friendly. Super bed and quality en-suite shower room. Very easy reach of the Airport which suited our particular needs, but countryside. So nice and relaxed although not hugely scenic. We prefer not to stay in the City centre, but it is only 20 minutes or so on the M8 if you want it. Although the M8 can be Glasgow's equivalent of the M25! Better to go to one of the two pubs in nearby Houston for good food. Enjoy a drive to Loch Lomond (25mins) for some beautiful scenery.
Many interesting destinations to visit along the firth of Clyde Long walks along the shore some little restaurants near the sea Islands sailing easy to organize Nice friendly people almost everywhere
