This small but perfectly formed boutique hotel dates from 1600. It has an award-winning cocktail lounge and stylish, individual bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. Several restaurants are within a 3-minute... What a gem! The old pub has been converted into a swanky cocktail bar and boutique hotel. We stayed in room 5 at the back, super comfy bed and exceptional walk in shower room. We sampled a few cocktails in the evening- clearly skilled bar-tenders; the drinks were exceptional- made even better by such friendly staff.

We parked in Bridge Street - Abbey Field Car park. This is fantastic area for walking the dog. Had a bite to eat and drink in a Alexa Lauren Patisserie. Dog friendly and lovely omelette. Unfortunately it was a Friday and the Castle is only open on Saturday and Sundays. So a must next time.
We explored the castle, and the surrounding area. We picked up some leaflets and followed some walks. We enjoyed the area. The castle is well worth a look, there’s more to see than you might think from a ruin. Only a few miles from Warwick Castle too. Also good.
You should either have a car or have to be a trained walker because busses are sparse and in Kenilworth distances from center with shops to old part of town are long. The old part of town houses some very good pubs with really good traditional english food but there are also high quality take-aways from all over the world. If you don´t have a car going from Kenilworth to the very near Warwick will take you hours on the bus because EVERY bus route in the whole region goes via Leamington Spa, so you have to take a taxi
First visit to Kenilworth for a family wedding, didn't have have enough time to explore this lovely place, Had a walk around Abbey fields in the morning of our departure and vowed to make it back for a longer visit
Castle is big attraction and town is now more readily accessible to non-cardrivers, as rail-station has been re-opened. Kenilworth is well-placed for visiting Birmingham, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry and I had easy rail-journey back to London (change necessary). Town itself has good range of shops and restaurants: I recommend Andrew Davies local baker, greengrocer and secondhand bookstore.
We stayed in Kenilworth as we had booked to visit Kenilworth Castle, which was excellent. Kenilworth itself isn't particuarly exciting a town but it is close to Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick ( Castle), Stratford-upon-Avon, Cadbury World etc so a good place to stay as a base. We went to an excellent Indian restaurant, for a small town there looked to be quite a good selection of good restaurants.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location to explore Warwickshire. Beds were comfortable and a good selection of hot drinks were provided in the room. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced including a discount for hotel guests. Despite some issues with food supplies (Brexit related?) there was always something we were happy to eat. Wide selection of gins available at the bar.
The hotel is very central in Kenilworth with a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. There is off-street parking and on arrival the check-in process was very smooth, handled by friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel facilities (bar and restaurant) are a bit basic and small. The rooms are decent-size with comfortable beds. Everything clean throughout with a modern bathroom.
The staff are extremely personable, helpful, polite and the place has such a warm welcome. The food at Raffles is outstanding and its a lovely restaurant. The location of the hotel is brilliant for road links, all bus routes and train station, and a great place to visit Kenilworth. Check in is really quick and easy

Very friendly greeting and recommendations for local places to eat. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom - would put many major chains to shame! Very convenient location for Kenilworth town and 5 mins from Stoneleigh NAC, which is where we were attending a conference.
I love this hotel. The reception staff are excellent-welcoming, friendly and efficient. The housekeeping staff are lovely and helpful. Staff in the leisure centre couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely setting and great customer centricity !
The Cow Shed had everything we needed and it was perfect for our break to visit family and friends. Not far from the Castle, but not too far to walk to Kenilworth. Very quiet location. Zoe is very friendly and accommodating
