Set in an 18th-century coaching inn, the family-owned Green Hotel offers a selection of restaurants, bars and 2 golf courses. The property is in Kinross, close to the M90 motorway. Dog friendly, good atmosphere with friendly staff, excellent location.
This traditional 18th century coaching inn features 9 rooms with attached bathroom with free Wi-Fi. The breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and the full breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. The family room is great - we were 3 generations of adults and it was nice to have the space. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Located in Kinross, 30 mi from Dundee, Arisaig features a garden and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers a continental or Full English/Irish breakfast. Location. Ease of access. The rooms were sparkling and had all amenities. The host is a DEAR lady and makes you feel right at home. Her cooking is splendid and she made calls to find us the perfect restaurant. I would recommend without hesitation!!!
Burnbank offer a luxurious bed and breakfast experience in Muirs, just 2 minutes’ drive from the center of Kinross, Perthshire. Very reasonable price considering the lovely breakfast that was included. Also, perfect location, within walking distance to the town centre’s bars and restaurants. We were made to feel welcome throughout our stay which was special for our 5th wedding anniversary.
Rumbling Bridge Loft is offering accommodations in Kinross. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Beautiful location the loft is separate from the main house(which is stunning) and is much more comfortable than the usual hotel room.
Kinross Residence is set in Kinross. The accommodations is 24 mi from Stirling, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. This place is just stunning. The decor, furnishings, finishing touches, toiletries, towels, utensils were of top quality, the place flowed so nicely, the girls loved their 2 storey bedroom. Kinross is a fantastic little town within easy commute of a number of Scotland's big cities/attractions. We had an amazing 3 day stay and I will be recommending this place to absolutely anyone looking for some time away.
There is plenty to do in the local area, with walking, cycling and hiking trails seconds away. Benarty, The Bishop and the Lomond Hills are all accessible with paths and there is a 20km loop around Loch Leven for bikers and walkers. The central location means that Perth, St Andrews, Dundee, Edinburgh, etc. are all a short drive away and 1.5hrs will get you into the Trossachs and the Cairngorms. Kinross has a selection of restaurants, should you get tired of cooking, and a bike hire shop.
Great place to visit (particularly at this time of year) when the visitor numbers are small. The sculptures are just incredible and awe-inspiringly the beautiful. Really excellent interactive exhibition about the Kelpies and construction, Kinross and history of the town. Helpful staff in the shop and reception. Didn't try the cafe but I am sure it will be excellent too!
Seems to be a lovely little town with a few shops. Didn't get a much chance to explore as it was snowing and wanted to get home just in case it got worse. Will definitely visit again in better weather.
Nice place to stay for a couple of days if exploring Eastern Scotland. Very quiet village location. Close to Loch Leven. Ideal for walking, cycling and fishing. Also a couple of local golf courses. Nice selection of local restaurants and bars. Also live music at Backstage at Green Hotel which was great venue.
Our large double room was clean, warm and inviting with a lovely bay window overlooking courtyard garden. We had a delicious evening meal on our arrival and breakfast the next morning. All the staff and receptionists were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We traveled there to go to a wedding nearby but have stayed at the Green hotel before and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The Boathouse restaurant down by Loch Leven is pretty, has a nice view, lovely choice of food on menu, it’s close by and trips out to Loch Leven castle are also to be recommended.
The location was good just off motorway The hotel was very poor , dated and in extreme need of some tlc. Service in dining room was awful and food limited choice and not all home made as stated on menu. Breakfast was worst we had had in many years no choices of hot dishes and very limited cold.
The breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and the full breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. The family room is great - we were 3 generations of adults and it was nice to have the space. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
