Located in Laugharne, 21 mi from Tenby, Hills Farm B&B Laugharne provides a garden and free WiFi. A patio with garden views is offered in every unit. The B&B was really very lovely. It's a secluded spot beside the river though it's really a creek. It's a little out of the way and consequently very quiet - perfect for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was great. People and place were warm and hospitable.

Peace and quiet, views, walks and general atmosphere. All of the Dylan Thomas connections. Choice of cafes etc. serving local food and Thai plus fish and chips. Brown's Hotel is lovely to eat at or stay. Laugharne is in a great location to provide a base for visits to other parts of this beautiful area.
Brilliant for fans of Dylan Thomas ...a 'must do' - beautiful setting on the estuary with lots of walks (lost of steep hills so take walking boots!) A peaceful haven for walker and dog owners alike , but remarkably clean. We took advice from web re restaurants and were not disappointed - Browns Hotel and Poons street food were both exceptional
Didn't get much chance to sample Laugharne itself, but went in for a meal one evening which was excellent (Dexters at Brown's Hotel). There are several pubs and restaurants, probably enough for a couple of nights, but it is not a particularly lively place. Not a criticism, just an observation. We went back in after checking out to have a walk around the estuary in the morning and that was lovely; you can walk along the edge for a couple of miles up to Dylan's (Thomas) writing shed overlooking the water; he is buried in the town also. Plus there is a nice castle ruin to visit, on the edge of the estuary. I managed to fly my drone along the estuary without any trouble and got some nice shots of the castle. Quite a few people seem to stop off here for the day as they pass through in camper vans. In summary, there are some interesting things to do to pass a day, so would be a good stopping off point as part of a run along the coast.
Small town with plenty of pubs and restaurants to eat . Short walk from property . About 4 miles to sandy beach . Centrally located too travel to local attractions . Beaches , folly farm , tenby and cauldy island a must to visit for adults and children alike .
Small town, where Dylan Thomas was born and wrote some of his works. Only need half a day to go around the village. Lovely coffee shop and cafe's. There is also a castle, but it was closed whilst we were there. Not far from Tenby, and we also visited the Gower.
Laugharne is a lovely village awash with history and visible homages all over the place to its most famous resident, Dylan Thomas. Probably well known lately for the successful "Keeping Faith" series which certainly showcased it and I imagine made many people want to visit. The Norman castle dominates the town and is surrounded by some lovely walks and vistas. Nearby Saundersfoot and Tenby have beautiful beaches but parking can be a problem. We loved close by Llansteffan, easy parking and a beautiful natural beach with sand stretching for miles. A visit here is easily combined with shopping at Carmarthen, a few miles up the road.
We had the most lovely stay in this beautiful hotel. All of the staff went above and beyond and the rooms were superb. Our two dogs were made to feel as welcome as we were! We had our dinner in the restaurant both nights, which was absolutely delicious and the breakfast was amazing (both dogs loved their’s too, so thank you, Morag!) All in all, a wonderful two night stay and we will definitely be booking again soon! Thank you all so much!
