Longshore House is located in Laugharne. Offering free WiFi, the property also has a garden, barbecue facilities and a terrace. Wonderful welcome - met by housekeeper Lennie who had heating and lamps on so house looked so inviting on arrival. Showed us around. Delicious Welsh High Tea prepard for us - homemade welsh cakes/barabrith etc Parking space right outside to unload car and choice of places to eat within short walking distance. Unfortunately unable to get table at Penderyn Restaurant at short notice. Wonderful walks to Dylan Thomas's boathouse and were blessed with very good weather. So well equipped and homely.
This charming bed and breakfast has a large garden with picturesque views of Laugharne, the estuary and the Norman castle. The view from the bedroom window down the valley & over the village of Laugharne was stunning, Good private parking, excellent breakfast, Really nice hosts. Many thanks Vince & Pat.
Hidden in the marshlands of the Carmarthenshire countryside, The Corran Resort & Spa offers a bar and an a la carte restaurant. Featuring a luxurious spa, it also features a swimming pool, and gym. Bed very comfortable, food delicious.nice little touches
This sensitively restored Victorian hotel is set in 5 acres of gardens and woodland, with stunning views over Carmarthen Bay and beyond to North Devon. We stayed one night only but could definitely more👍. Such a place. The staff was extremely friendly ( as everywhere in Wales), especially the man/manager. The hotel was clean, restaurant offered everything. Really happy to stay there.
A beautiful little village on the estuary. I can see why Dylan Thomas loved this place. The people were very friendly and helpful. Hope I can come again. The Boat House is the place to stay. Will come again.
Laugharne is a scenic village on the South Wales coast and one of it's sons grew up to be an acclaimed Welsh poet who lived a drunken debauched life before dying prematurely. Several buildings one being Browns hotel and another his small cabin are there to visit and enjoy. Dylan Thomas has forever stamped his identity there but much can be enjoyed besides.
Dylan Thomas lived and wrote poetry in Laugharne. It is a very special place with unique history. The people who live there are friendly and happy to have you visit. We visited St Martin's Church and all the Thomas places, including the Birthday Walk. The Browne's Pub and Three Mariners Pub were great places to visit.
Weather (February) was cold and mainly raining. Most fast-food outlets (and local Spar) were closed. One very good and fun restaurant, and one cheery delicatessen were within 30 yards of the hotel. Interesting points were the Dylan Thomas grave and writing shed, the castle (decayed but impressive) and a crazy 5 mile walk to Pendine Sands. We could have driven!
Lovely cottage that was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. There was a pretty enclosed garden which made it ideal. The cottage itself is set off from the main road and a short walk into the centre of Laugharne village, approximately 7 minutes and an ideal base to explore the beautiful areas of West Wales. There is ample free car parking in the Church car park on the opposite side of the road.

Everything. Lovely location and beautiful rooms. Well thought out decor in the restaurant and bar area. All staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the personal touches like a congratulations card in our room when they knew we'd just got married. Can't recommend this hotel enough.
