Highly overpriced, very average hotel struggling to cope in busy season. No atmosphere, inattentive management, in need of updating/upgrading. Breakfasts very disorganised, buffet the poorest I've come across and guests left waiting for orders while staff struggle to cope. All this would be understandable in the first few weeks under new management if it weren't for the overblown, ridiculous prices!! Daylight robbery no less!!

Dog walkers need to turn right no leaving the pub and walk approx. 100m down the road then turn off to track beside a house. It leads right down to the loch. Safe and away from roads, but some livestock around !
Menu limited and traditional pub fare but Fish & Chips very good. All other food coming out looked great as well. Coffee that was brought out was poor Wife reported.
A nice place to stay

The loch and mountain are stunning.
The loch and mountain are stunning. Afberfeldy is a short drive north and Killin is a short drive south so lots of amenities. There is also a local bus service if you don't want to take your car. Thatched houses at Fortingal and Glen Lyon is stunning.
“The bedroom was well equipped and the hotel was nice and tidy. There were fireplaces in some of the downstairs public rooms which were lit, which made it really cosy. We liked the small living room with games, books etc. We arrived on a night when there was live music playing, so we went downstairs for that and really had a good night. Great atmosphere in the bar and the food was good quality. Slept like a dream and really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning!”
“Beautiful restful location right on Loch Tay. It is out in the country so both nearby villages (which are charming) are 7 miles away. We had dinner at the hotel both nights and it was delicious, and the service was always attentive. Our room was very comfortable with a king sized bed and a bath with separatevshower and large soaking tub.”
“Very calm location, nice owner, cozy room, great cooked breakfast. There's a nice short walk to the lake that starts just at the hotel, also some bigger walks just nearby. We also had dinner at the downstairs pub one night which was very good. Outstanding value for money, in most of the other places we stayed in Scotland we paid more for much much less.”
