Set in Leigh, 1.6 mi from Leigh Sports Village, Irvine Contractor Accommodations offers accommodations with a shared lounge, free WiFi and a shared kitchen. Host was amazing and I will give her 10 out of 10 however the area was worst and not family friendly. Loads of people smoking drugs around the street. Whenever we opened window, there was noise and smoke of drugs. Kids were scared.

Leigh is great, a good market and good for shopping. Access to Manchester, Liverpool and Bolton is very easy. I think that Leigh is a great alternative to staying in Manchester or Liverpool city centres for a football match, I notice that city centre hotels increase their prices when United or Liverpool are playing at home. A message to you out of the area visiting football fans, Leigh has good transport links to get around the region so don’t pay overpriced city centre hotel prices, stay in Leigh.
Central location so easy to get to Manchester, Liverpool, north Wales, Cheshire, Lancashire. Football and gig fans from out of the area could use it as a base quite easily and for a fraction of city centre prices. Leigh itself has some great walks, Pennington Flash for starters, the dogs would love it. Great restaurants in the centre but if you are staying at the Greyhound, there’s an exceptional Indian restaurant within walking distance. Be sure to book before you travel as the (lucky) locals make sure it’s busy every night. Ask the reception staff about it.
Close to Manchester and Trafford Centre all easy to drive or catch a bus to. Bents Garden Centre is worth a visit just the other side of the round about and leigh has a cinema and restaurants. Plenty of local ubers for taxi rides. Futher down the East lancs Road travelling towards Manchester Swinton has a lovely restaurant called Albert's which serves great cocktails and food worth a taxi trip if you want a nicer restaurant close by.
Never went to Leigh. Never ate out Taxi prices are reasonable but not all drivers have English as their first language. We are not a young couple. I have noticed a pub, a Supermarket and a petrol station closeby.
The hotel was very good . Just two issues : - extremely noisy next room at night time , a group was partying in the room . Complained to the staff - they promptly attended . But the group was a bit too much drunk and in mode of enjoyment, the noise continues till late - only one of the coffee machine was working at breakfast time , so long queue for coffee - a good 10 min waiting time
What an impression for our first stay,, it was excellent,, room size, bathroom size were a really good size,, bed comfy ,, staff were extremely helpful, and welcoming,, wished we had booked longer,, but we will defo be back soon,, Breakfast was very good ,,plenty of choice
Location, friendly staff..Helpful..
