The location was amazing, very peacful but also quite close to amenities, loved having sheep and lambs as neighbours. The property was really spacious, clean and warm. Kitchen was kitted out well with a variety of cups, plates, glasses etc. Loved having the option of filter coffee. Also, great to have full use of washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc. made to feel like home from home.

You can never have too long in Llanberis area!

You can never have too long in Llanberis area! The mountains & lakes are stunning, and there is so much else to explore too. Snowdonia has a magical quality to it that makes it so special. Llanberis is also a great base from which to explore outlying places e.g. during my trip, as well as completing my main goals of climbing Snowdon and Tryfan, I took daytrips from Llanberis to Caernarfon and Anglesey on one day and Llandudno & Conwy on the other, visiting castles, National Trust properties and beaches on teh way. The various driving routes to and from these places back to Llanberis were a joy in themselves. The nearby Pen-y-Gwryd hotel is so interesting, steeped in mountaineering / Everest history - although it was lovely to have the place almost to myself to look around, it is a shame it is not promoted a bit more as a place to visit for a cup of tea / place to stay.

Llanberis is superbly situated next to spectacular mountain and lakeside scenery, and has many facilities and exciting things to do, such as Lakeside and Mountain railways and many more activities, and has a good bus service.

Perfect location meaning we didn't have to use the car once...

Perfect location meaning we didn't have to use the car once as everything was in walking distance. The accommodation felt very cosy and was clean. Haydn was a great host with great communication. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again.

Llanberis is small but there are options for food and...

Llanberis is small but there are options for food and general shopping. The Allports chip shop was great. If you want an Indian meal then the Spice of Llanberis is the place to go, although book beforehand if you want a sit-down meal. We arrived on a busy Saturday evening and so opted for a takeaway set meal for two which was delicious. If you want a coffee try Rumdoodles cafe and outdoor shop. For snacks there is a small Spar. For a drink there is the low-key, relaxed pub called The Heights. In terms of activities the big one is the climb up Yr Wyddfa either by foot or train. A less strenuous option is the charming Lakeside railway.

The town is nice enough.

The town is nice enough. A bit run down and many shops not opened Sunday through Tuesday, when we went in April.. the Snodonia train was ok, I liked it but way too expensive in my opinion.. the lake and waterfall hike were fun.

Llanberis itself was ok, central for everything but the town...

Llanberis itself was ok, central for everything but the town itself was a little disappointing. Whilst there were places to eat, it was largely 'pub grub' and no fresh vegetables!! The location was fantastic with plenty of walks in Llanberis itself, and only a short drive away to places such as Caernarfon castle and Portmeirion.

The location is a short 5 minute walk to the start of the Llanberis Path up to Snowdon. There's a Spar & Subway right across the road from the hotel. The staff are nice, drinks & food were decent. The room is the bare minimum so make sure you read the 'More Details' section on this booking, I did so I came prepared. I stayed in a 2 person room which had an ensuite shower which was nice. It's significantly cheaper than the nearby hotels and I only needed a short sleep so it was ideal and oiptimal.

Amy and James were absolutely wonderful hosts, very friendly and welcoming, and couldn't do enough for you!! The hotel was superbly located for the centre of llanberis and exploring Snowdon...it had everything that we needed including parking and was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!! We would without question stay again when visiting this area!!

Lovely historic hotel - info on its history in the room was very interesting. Excellent parking facilities and great location near Llanberis path, railway station and central cafes and shops. Breakfast room with lovely side conservatory. Bar meals excellent with friendly quick service.
