Situated in one of the oldest streets in Llangollen and a few seconds from the high street, Gales has individual bedrooms with private bathrooms. The room was very clean and comfortable. We stopped in the hotel bar for a drink before dinner, and their Sangria was delicious - would be worth going back just for that! Very friendly staff and excellent location.

Set in 8 acres of beautiful countryside, this charming country hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a large garden area. The market town of Llangollen is just 1.5 miles away. Lovely settee and coffee table at bottom of the four poster bed to comfortably sit and watch TV in the evening. Super view from the room window. Nice big tea cups and beautiful four poster bed. Very quiet location with the sounds of nature all round and no traffic. Loved seeing the spring lambs jumping in the fields and see the sun rise and peak through the hills on the frosty morning. Nice big garden to sit in and plenty of parking space.

Lovely town on the river. Everything walking distance within each other. Supermarket, shops, lots of cafe. The corn mill pub/ restaurant was expectional, georgous place right on the river, excellent staff & food. Great location to drive to other places/towns etc..
The town felt unkempt with many properties needing attention and investment, surprising for a thriving tourist spot. However it's full of Victorian properties which need sympathetic refurbishment which is expensive these days and need builder craftsmen (who are few and far between) not a jobbing builder. Didn't like the vibe. Hikers will have the benefit of spending most of their time away from it.
Lovely little town very friendly people went for walking scenery beautiful. Will go back again in warmer weather. Horseshoe fall. The stream in the sky. The canal. And steam railway. Lots of places to eat. Saint Collins church was lovely.
Great area, lots to do, walked up to the castle, went on the Llangollen train through beautiful scenery, great bars and restaurants, great shops to explore, just really like the pace of Llangollen, nice and relaxed
A lovely town that we have both enjoyed visiting over the years A shame that more businesses have closed though We loved the old railway and booked the evening ‘Landcruise’ event . It was lovely to see the younger generation taking an interest and volunteering to maintain the product of a bygone age
Attractive town in its own right but also located in a superb area with lots to do and see within a short distance. Only ate out one evening at the M,eating point the food was very decent and the beer too but the menu a little limited. Visited the motor "museum" which is well worth a visit, this is more a collection of very interesting cars and motorcycles (and automobilia) than a posh museum if you do visit please check in advance that they are open as it does have limited opening days..
I have not visited Llangollen for 30 odd years and fair play, Abbey Grange Hotel delivered the goods to maintain my good impressions of the area. I was in room 6, I highly recommend it, it was spacious and very clean with en-suite. The bar served local ales and fantastic food. The staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The local area is amazing, I was in the area on business, but can’t wait to return with the family on a holiday. I will be back!!
Llangollen
The location is the Huts main attraction, but it also helps that’s it’s something special. Not just any ordinary hotel or accommodation. It certainly did have The Wow Factor. The hot tub was a real treat. Mike was on hand when we arrived, the little added touch of a surprise treat was just lovely. Thank you. Llangollen didn’t disappoint either. What a lovely town. We certainly will be back.
Llangollen
Hosts were very helpful with prompt responses to our queries before we arrived. The whole house was very clean and homely with lots of nice touches. The beds, linen and towels were all hotel quality. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Location was perfect, 5 min stroll into the centre of Llangollen.

Amazingly spacious, clean room with everything you’d need. Great to have all the usual hostel facilities while also having a hotel quality room and en suite! The location was top notch - parked in our usual car park and said “we better find the hostel” - looked up and there it was!
Llangollen
great for a couple for a short visit. Close to centre of Llangollen with shops, pubs and busses. Owner checked on us and thoughtfully left us bottled water, real milk for our tea/coffee in the small fridge, and two candy bars!
Llangollen
Cambrian House was an excellent value. For a budget hotel, it was was very comfortable and homey, clean and cute. And great shower pressure! Even better, Cath was very welcoming and cheery delight--I think she makes the place!
Llangollen
The location was great, it was a five minute walk to the center of Llangollen. Beautiful room and house, bed very comfy and Mayuri added extra treats. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if visiting again. Absolutley Fabulous.
Location was perfect, the hotel is beautiful, customer service was wonderful, so friendly and could not do enough for us. Stayed with our 2 dogs who were made very welcome and comfortable. The spa was lovely too.
Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff, we ate at the hotel and had a wonderful dinner.
Considering the age of this old established hotel, the building and the room I had in it were good.
