This friendly, family-run bed and breakfast – voted the best in Wales by overseas visitors (2003) – offers picturesque views over the Black Mountains, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Historic building with interesting character and charm, and friendly hosts
Surrounded by Brecon Beacons National Park, The Celyn is a bed and breakfast set within a 300 acre working farm in the beautiful county of Monmouthshire. The Celyn is a rather newly built guest house on a large farm outside of Crickhowell. The young couple who owns and operates it is extremely welcoming and their home is beautiful. Our room on the top floor had gorgeous views of the lush, green farmland, and we enjoyed watching the farm animals from windows facing both the front and the back of the house. The breakfasts were excellent and offered options quite different from the other guest houses in Wales. The (homemade) smoked salmon on scrambled eggs with wheat toast was a definite treat! We also greatly appreciated the help with taking our luggage up to our room, as we definitely overpacked for this trip!
