I havent visited for a while and the town has changed beyond recognition and not in a good way. The tatty areas are still tatty and a lot of new, soulless development has been plonked into the town. The new road system is incomprehensible. Any good things to look at are hard to find. I never want to go back! Even the Great Central Railway is hidden in a grimy back street, with no parking. Go to the Quorn station instead - lots of parking and 2 cafes.

Nice town with plenty of eating establishments and good range of shops. Parking is at a premium however. We went to Mogal Indian restaurant in "The Rushes" absolutely fabulous so we went back the following evening.

The apartment was awful, dirty, the shower didn’t work, brown across the ceiling, food up the walls and the toilet must have been leaking as urine and water was coming through the toilet when you stood on the floor boards.

Typical student town, with many young people in evidence.

Typical student town, with many young people in evidence. Safe, friendly feel to the town, even in the evening at the weekend. Lots of variety in the restaurants and cafés, good shopping with some very good independent shops, as well as the usual chains.

Couple who ran the B and B were friendly and helpful. Stayed one night for graduation, perfect location for university. Everything we needed, comfortable room, good breakfast. Shower room in need of a bit of updating but clean and worked fine. Brilliant value for a family room, which saved us getting 2 rooms in a hotel. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to have a treatment or use the restaurant.

Friendly staff, quick to show to room. You have to go out of pub and it was a separate room direct onto street. Location to City Centre and Great Central Railway (purpose of visit to Loughborough) is great (Town 10-15 mins, GCR <5 mins) Room very clean, tidy, comfy bed (except for thin duvet, see below) and there was tea and coffee.

Modest looking house from the outside but very modern, clean and comfortable within. Very good facilities in kitchen and lounge. We were visiting Loughborough University and the location is very convenient. Large corner shop with all essentials just a hundred yards along the road - very friendly staff.

Didn’t realise it was actually on the university campus, but not a problem. This meant it had a great bus service into the town.
