The Lyn Valley Guest House is located in Lynmouth, looking into the East and West Lyn Rivers and set on the Exmoor Heritage Coast. It offers breakfast, free Wi-Fi and free private parking. The location was wonderful right down on the river. We loved the facility and found our room very clean and comfortable. The sitting area downstairs was a bonus and having an honour bar was very clever. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff very helpful and friendly. We would not hesitate to stay there again!

The Blue Ball Inn is located in the north of Exmoor National Park, 550 yards from the sea. It offers home-cooked food, a traditional pub and rooms with countryside views. Great location for hiking and likes the quietness of the hotel yet it’s close to Lynmouth and Lynton. Food and local ales were very good. Great welcoming atmosphere. The owners work hard to ensure the guests enjoy their stay. Would definitely return.

Lynmouth
Standing alone at the entrance to Lynmouth’s stunning harbor, this picturesque 18th-century building houses accommodations with superb views of the sea, the river or the Lyn Valley. The hotel is right on the sea front and rooms with sea view, which we had look out into the estuary. Great for people watching and watching the surfers. Breakfast was great...preordered the night before and evening meals also good. They make sure that residents are offered tables first. Given there are only 3 or 4 places to eat in the evening some with limited menus it's well worth prebooking

Located in Lynmouth and only a few steps from Blacklands Beach, Postman's Knock, Lynmouth, with private parking has accommodations with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely little flat with great views and brilliant location. Parking was a real plus too. Spotless when we arrived. Haven't got a bad word to say about it.
First class place to have a short break. Lots of walking around the area, good selection of shops, although the majority were closed due to staying in late November. Disappointed the railway wasn't working linking Linton.
The area itself was beautiful. We went in middle October unfortunately there were road closures, resulting in many diversions thus adding many miles to our routes. It would have been good if we were informed of theses pre planned works so we could have either altered our stay by a few days or re arranged our trips. We specifically chose this hotel because it offered food and a bar on the premises and I could inform them that I was gluten free. Making meal times less of a chore, but unfortunately these were only available on our last night. most of the businesses closed their doors at 4 and the pubs started serving food at 6 so food choices and shopping were limited. But the friendliness of the staff and people in the village made up for most of the short comings. The walks and views around here are many and beautiful definitely worth a visit
It is a nice oldie worldie place but its hell getting in and out of as the roads are so steep and narrow. There are nice tourist type shops but no convenience store, so you have to go up to Lynton for supplies. A few good places to eat and a good fish & chip shop round by the railway.
Lovely place at the mouth of the river. Good fish and chip shops near the beach. Some restaurant/pubs very pricy with quirky menus, but the Village Inn in Lynmouth was good value and the Crown Hotel in Lynton is excellent. This is a good base for exploring the region and we enjoyed the funicular, Exmoor Zoo and Chambercombe Manor at Ilfracombe. The walk to Watersmeet is beautiful. The beach is stoney, so not a good place for young children to paddle or swim.
Lynmouth is very small, and right on the water. It is backed by cliffs, at the top of which is Lynton, which can be accessed by the cliff railway, by climbing up a steep path, or by road (obviously). It's characterized by hugging the water, as there is no place behind to build (to steep). It is ideal for a short break, or for walking, which had we stayed any longer we would definitely have taken advantage of. very pretty.
We had a wonderful boat trip to Lee Bay and back. Saw lots of interesting birds on the cliff. The Lyn Gorge was a bit disappointing. Seemed a bit run down. It was also not its best after two months without rain. The free walk along the river was just as good.
Lynmouth
Wonderful place to stay in an absolutely beautiful town. The building has so much character, and my room was perfect after a hike along the coast path - having a bath was the best surprise I could've hoped for! I was able to grab a drink from the bar and sit in on my windowsill looking out at the sea view. The restaurant wasn't open, which was a shame, but the manager very kindly arranged a table for me at their sister hotel, the Rock Inn, which was lovely. Fab location, tasty breakfast, comfy room - all you could ask for.
Lynmouth
The hotel is just outside Lynmouth, at the start of moorland. It seems to be patronised by a lot of walkers as well as others who wish to explore Exmoor. It's an interesting old building that provided us with a comfortable room. The extensive car park is across the road (main road but this is Exmoor so it's not that busy). The staff were lovely - efficient, friendly and helpful. Food was good, both in the evening and at breakfast. They were also able to provide packed lunches on request.
Lynmouth
The Rock Hotel is in a great place -Sea, River and and loads of Trees. We love Lynmouth it is a Magical place. The views from the Bedrooms are fabulous and all Bedrooms are very clean and well stocked up for a great holiday. The Staff are like old friends nothing is too much trouble and Breakfast is very great, even a sausage for the Dog. All I can say is go and try The Rock Hotel in Lynmouth.
Property has great location in Lynmouth. Parking was easy to find from directions and flat was good size and homely. There are a couple of pubs (serving food) in Lynmouth and more choices in Lynton. Great walks from the doorstep. We did a 10 mile walk to Watersmeet, Countisbury, Lynton and valley of the rocks, which whilst hard going in places, had brilliant views.
Lynmouth
Lovely views along the coast and along the river from the windows and the terrace. Peaceful and quiet location. Friendly and helpful owner on site. Steep walk down through the pretty garden into Lynmouth, a couple of seats on the way back up for a rest. Easy access to lots of beautiful walks without even taking out the car.
Lovely hotel in the heart of Lynmouth, can't get any better location. We had a beautiful suite with a small kitchen and fridge, all needed amenities. Had fresh towels daily. Breakfast was great too and a nice surprise for a small hotel. Overall highly recommend if your visiting Lynmouth
