People are friendly area is nice, has a river, the town itself has Sainsburys, Tesco Express, Boots, & Banks, eateries and a few pubs. Just on the outskirts of town there are (large) Tesco's, KFC, car sales, Argos & several other shops. A very pleasant town to visit.
Very picturesque with some quirky old buildings around and a canal through the middle. I ate in Ye Olde Griffin Hotel which had quick service and tasty food at an excellent price. The Christmas decorations had been put up thoughtfully and really added to the whole feeling. People were very friendly and helpful.
Interesting little town, I used it for an overnight stop but could have spent a bit longer. Traffic a bit manic at times! Good cycle track out westwards, Sustrans path from the north needs resurfacing, but at least it takes you off the A141
Plenty of places to eat and friendly atmosphere. River Nene runs through town really quaint.Good museum in the town really worth a visit.Lovely pub near the river called the Acre lovely food also an American Diner.
Wasn't there as a tourist ,just to work on my project . Just a 1 night stoppover to enable me to start refreshed for next day . Breakfast was good . I will be staying again in very near future it's convenient for me . Nice pubs just 5 minutes walk away for a very reasonabley priced evening. Meal .
Quaint Town. Good choice of shopping and restaurants. We visit for family and an annual trip to the Lavender Farm. Easy to get around plenty of town centre free parking. Good food and drinks in Wetherspoon The Hippodrome. If you drive there are pub restaurants everywhere and retail parks slightly out of town.
