Located in Melksham, The Kings Arms Hotel features a bar, terrace and free WiFi throughout the property. This 3-star hotel offers luggage storage space. All amenities and services were just as expected from an established hotel. The hanging baskets and tubs were beautiful and gave the arrival at the property a festive air. Free parking n a safe area was appreciated. Since they were not rushed we had interesting conversations with the staff, particularly with Kylie (who will forgive me if I got the spelling of her name wrong).
Rew Farm Country & Equestrian Accommodations - Sunrise Lodge is a holiday home located in Seend, near Melksham, 11 mi from Bath. Being a family living in a city, from time to time it’s so necessary to have a rest on the open air and see the limitless beauty of the nature and valleys which are not blocked by tall buildings. There is absolutely everything you would need for a wonderful getaway and fun from noisy city. The caravan is very clean, cozy and has a very comfortable beds and kitchen. Yes, caravan is a little bit tight, but we expected it (you can see it from the pictures of the farm) and it is very smart outfitted. There are so many activities for family: xbox, books for kids and adults, table games, puzzles, lego, toys even paper and crayons! Outside Mark and Nicola has a amazing treehouse and lots of tracks (eletric and none). There is also a bounce. Nicola were so kind to allow our younger kids gardening (all shovels and pitchforks were for kids as well). Even our teenage kids were so excited to play American football on the green field. Our kids had an experience with feeding hens and also collecting eggs. In the evening time we had a wonderful bbq party with a grill kindly provided by Mark. As you understand the owners by their self are very kind and responsive people. It was so nice to have from them fresh eggs kindly presented for our breakfast. Location is very close to Bath, Avebury, Stonehenge (lots of places to visit ). Thank you very much, Mark-Nicola and George for our amazing getaway.
Located in Melksham in the Wiltshire region, Stables Cottage, Melksham has a garden. We were greeted by the owner who was waiting for us to arrive, the cottage was really beautiful, it was warm, cosy and comfortable and having a lovely large family kitchen we were able to do some good home cooking with our family sat round the table which was so nice. The goodies of fresh fruit, milk, fresh flowers and some biscuits were very welcome and a nice touch. The bedrooms were very comfortable with lovely soft bedding and above all the cottage was very warm and cosy. The location was perfect as it is very central to Melksham, Devizes, Corsham, Trowbridge, Bath and Warminster. The cottage is set in delightful surroundings, ideal for our dog as it was set way back off the road and it was simple to find good walks just outside the door, which overlooked the duck pond, so lovely to see them each morning! The price was very fair and we loved our winter break, we chilled, watched DVDs, visited local areas and walked in the countryside, just perfect. The canal is very accessible and there is a lovely cafe there which we liked very much, dogs were welcome which is always good for us. We will certainly be returning as the experience was a real delight.

Nice cottage on the outskirts of Melksham close to a couple of pubs. Co Op and garage at the top of the road. In easy walking distance of the town and bus/railway station. A lovely couple who were very kind and knowledgable
Beechfield House is a 4 AA Red Star country house hotel located near Bath, Longleat, Lacock and Stonehenge, housed in a striking late-Victorian country house set within 8 acres of beautiful grounds. Beautiful hotel, set in stunning grounds, the facilities made it value for money beautiful pool. Very friendly staff, couldn’t do enough to accommodate our needs. Food outstanding. Would definitely go back and hopefully one day soon.
Lovely small town, busy though with a small variety of shops and restaurants and pubs. Lovely riverside walk. We ate two nights at the Hotel, once at Refa Tandoori, which we can recommend and once at An Italian restaurant in the town. We recommend a visit to beautiful Castle Combe, a gem of a village. We found Bath very busy and difficult to park.
Lovely old buildings steeped in history. Interesting town, but like many not as affluent as it once was. Like most other towns outskirts now being ruined with low quality residential developments gobbling up nice rural surroundings.
We were here for the Melksham Christmas light switch on which was great to be part of the local event. Variety of shops and all the staff very friendly. A varied amount of eating places to suit everyone.
Didn't spend much time here itself but it offered a nice option of food, the Italian was the winner for us. Seemed like a lovely place to take some walks and is close to bath and other villages to make a quick trip to.
Melksham was on our route and we stayed here to visit the Cotswolds. I would suggest staying in of of the more picturesque villages nearby, e.g. Marshfield, when travelling through Britain or visiting the Cotswolds.
Very clean and a nice little shopping area. There wasn’t a lot to do of an evening except eat and drink. Melksham didn’t seem to have areas to sit outside coffee shops etc. Notice one pub where they had a seating area outside. Bus services were good. Have various restaurants and some pubs do Sunday Lunch. Easy to get to Bath and Bristol.
A perfect family holiday home. We were meet by the very friendly host on arrival. The house was great, perfect for our family of 4 (2 young kids) The house is very cosy and finished to a great standard. located on a lovely farm just outside Melksham, and close to the canal. good size bedrooms, large kitchen with all needed. We would definitely stay here again, thank you.
This place is by far the best place we’ve stayed in the Uk, and we’ve stayed in some nice hotels, it’s very welcoming and make yourself at home vibes, the pool is amazing, just the whole place is so beautiful, we will be returning 100%
Nice cottage on the outskirts of Melksham close to a couple of pubs. Co Op and garage at the top of the road. In easy walking distance of the town and bus/railway station. A lovely couple who were very kind and knowledgable
Excellent breakfast. Not being a hotel (as advertised), we were required to order the night before, which is inconvenient. Otherwise, it was excellent
First time we have stayed here, I have to say it was a very nice hotel and the food was great.
