Great facilities, nice sized garden, Spacious rooms. Everything we needed was provided in the property. The garden was completely secure for our tiny dogs. Great base to explore surrounding areas, we explored Chester and Liverpool. We used the train station in Winsford for this so we hardly used the car. Newton Brewery Inn was just a short walk from the town centre and supermarket as well as being next to the river, so for my trip this was a great location. Middlewich is only a few minutes drive from the M6
Town centre very quiet with not a lot in it but quiet reasonably picturesque. Very nice Indian restaurant at night, excellent cafe for breakfast. Really nice walking along by the canal. OK to use as a base.
Our anniversary meal at El Padrino restaurant was fantastic, nice staff, great food and value for money. Not overly impressed by the town itself but the Big Lock pub is in a smashing location. Local people were really friendly and helpful.
Loved the place it was OK for our stay and we could compare both rooms one was bijou and modern for our daughters and ours a large family suite. You could hear the road traffic but I can sleep on a washing line so it didn't affect any of us. The staff were so helpful and happy in their work.
I didn't really see much of Middlewich as I had an itinerary in Nantwich already organised. You will need transport to see any of the local sights, although I suspect there could be lots of local walks (but I haven't confirmed this).
Middlewich is quite a picturesque town with some pretty buildings and good walking along the canal; it also boasts good supermarkets and other facilities. It's a short drive from tourist attractions such as Chester city centre, Chester zoo, Beeston Castle, Northwich and the Anderton Boat Lift, so a good base from which to explore Cheshire.
Middlewich
Full English gets 100%, staff were lovely helpful and friendly, bedroom and en suite were really comfortable and clean, location suited us for ease of getting were we wanted to, but out the back was the industrial estate, can't be helped though people have to work, and it didn't trouble us that much. The canal bit is nice and it's close to the Middlewich centre. I'd stay there again.
Middlewich
Most welcoming place we have ever stayed. The food is superb, the rooms are large and definitely boutique hotel standard but without the massive price hike. We will stay again, nothing is to much trouble. Outstanding standard deserves 5star rating. A flawless stay, everyone needs to stay here to experience the hospitality and food it's impeccable.
Middlewich
i liked the fact that we were close to the centre of Middlewich.I would say the rooms were cleaner and the beds were ok.it just needs a lick of paint and to be cleaner. The price was very reasonable ,the atmosphere in the pub was great.I would like to stay again.
