Loved walking in the park with the curved paths and features. The roads in central Milton Keynes are boring but there are plenty of green spaces and sculptures in between that break up the monotony. There are several covered malls with all the big name stores and a few independent shops. Traffic never seems to be very heavy so crossing the road is never a problem.
I had lived in Milton Keynes for a number of years previously so knew what to expect from the city its, shopping and entertainment. Nothing had changed from my last visit though this time I came by train, excellent parking and easy access if you can navigate the many roundabouts. Would recommend a trip out to Willen Lake, and Woburn. If your into Snowboarding of skiing why not try the Snow dome also experience the sky diving. If your into history a visit to Bletchley Park is a must, Learn about the code breakers and the enigma code breaking machine. Its safe if you like walking as there are many walk routes. The train station is only a short 20 minute walk from the shopping centre and there are frequent buses.
We loved the hotel and the staff. Breakfast was great but the menu for lunch and dinner was mostly fast food, would have preferred an a la carte menu for dinner at least. Booking . Com messed the booking up yet again, the third time we have had a very poor experience with them, so will not use Booking.com again, their customer service is non existent and they take your money way ahead of the advised date which you can’t even query. A nice weekend and lovely hotel, but we’ll steer clear of Booking. Com in the future, they don’t deserve the business.
Staff were great very helpfull as I had a broken window in car and was allowed to park at reception for security, lovely and clean restaurant very nice area but I did not eat there, only downside breakfast very expensive even the price for a continental was, I don't think worth it. Most places we stay either UK or overseas are the same. Went to a pub called the Cricketers for dinner not the poshest of places but food was very good and delivered promptly also attended a wake at the Nut & Squirrel.,very nice pub. Would loved to have spent more time but trouble with car and short time frame did not allow, we were very surprised at Milton Keynes loved it will return
Very central for very busy City(Town) good East West crossing point, plenty cheap eating out places local, Odeon Cinema next door and of course attached to MKDons Stadium with a great view of the pitch from Pitchside Restaurant.
Booked hotel to visit Bletchley Park. Ideal location as only a short drive away. We didn’t visit any other part of the area. Had dinner on the first night in one of the restaurants on the retail park. The second night we went to the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the hotel.
the price and that it was close to Centre Parc Woburn Forest where I had a spa day booked. I also enjoyed the breakfast each morning and there were to go cups and containers if a to go breakfast was needed. my second morning there I got a lovely greeting for breakfast from the hostess. the Harvester restaurant across the street had yummy comfort food and an easy online booking system. the bed was also super comfortable and I got a great night sleep. very quiet hotel as well
Milton Keynes
Located at the 'Hub', the heart of Milton Keynes. Plenty of places to eat & drink. Also local sainsbury's round the corner, should you need anything for your overnight stay. The view from the apartment is of other hotels in front of you! However, you can see the city skyline over the smaller hotels to the right, is pretty good late evening or at dawn when you can see the city lights.
Efficient check, in free parking, fast lifts, well equipped and maintained spacious room huge bed, lots of power sockets, all the essentials, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, tea/coffee etc etc. Friendly staff in bar/restaurants. An unlimited buffet breakfast with a very large choice. Express checkout Very near central Milton Keynes, 5 min by car. Lots of shops also around the stadium.
Location was ideal and lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is very central to walk everywhere. Staff were very friendly. Check in process was smooth. I received an email prior to my arrival to check in online. Everything was super easy. They also have essentials that you can get like a bottle of water or packet of crisps right next to the reception.
This isn't like other hotels. If you are expecting desks, chairs, windows, wardrobes, don't stop here and then complain afterwards! They are simple, comfortable, clean, well designed rooms. Excellent value for money in the center of Milton Keynes with an abundance of free parking! Absolute no brainer to stop here if you want value for money.
Milton Keynes
Easy book in, the attendent suggested two places to eat, one connected to the hotel, and one a short walk away, both met our needs excellently. The hotel is next to a Marina and a canal, so lots of Barges to look at, a very relaxing place to stay. It was also nice to have an old fashioned key to lock the door rather than a card!!
The hotel is very well placed for travellers on the M1. We were visiting friends in Newport Pagnell - it is very easy and quick to get into NP from the hotel with no need to get involved with Milton Keynes' traffic and roundabouts. Reception staff are very helpful and efficient, the room was very clean and a decent size.
Very conveniently located for visiting friends and access from the main road into Milton Keynes. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Price was very reasonable, especially compared with some other places, as the room also came with little extras of tea/coffee, biscuits and also a covid protection box of mask and gel
i liked how they helped with everything.my tv wasn’t connecting in my room and they quickly fixed the situation and moved me to another room. everything in the hotel was beautiful to look at. my receptionist was kind and gave me an amazing service, would definitely visit again.
Milton Keynes
A quiet residential location not far from the centre. Good amenities quite nearby. Good alternative to staying in a central hotel, fair value. A warm welcome from the owner.
