Hotel in Mundesley
Just a minute’s walk from the sea front, The Royal Hotel provides elegant, modern rooms and free private parking. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left all I can say is our stay was wonderful. We had a very friendly welcome, in fact all the staff were so courteous & welcoming. The room was a very good size, as was the bathroom. There was a constant supply of piping hot water at high pressure, the evening meals were amazing. Our first night was a carvery which was delicious & plentiful which probably sums up our other meals too, I can highly recommend the seafood salad which was so good we had it twice. The breakfast is mainly buffet style which means you can have exactly what you want, the cooked breakfast part was delicious & hot plus the bread on offer made great toast. The restaurant & bar had a great ambience of an evening & the outside seating area was truly delightful, helped by the fact we had great weather whilst we stayed. All in all a great place with great food and friendly, helpful staff, for us it couldn’t have been any better. This is truly the best 3 Star hotel I have ever stayed at.

Located in Mundesley, 8.7 mi from Cromer, Grand Norfolk provides a garden and free WiFi. The property features a path that leads straight to the beach. The property was great! The location was fantastic and the apartment was spotless. The apartment was also very warm with an easy to control thermostat so it seems the previous reviews have been listened to.

Set in Mundesley, just 328 feet from Mundesley, The Lookout offers beachfront accommodations with a garden, barbecue facilities, a terrace and free WiFi. As we were arriving late in the evening Bev advised she would leave some lights on so the house and garden looked very welcoming on arrival, which was really appreciated after a long drive. This house is better than a home from home! Every last detail had been thought through, it's sparkling clean, has a kitchen which any chef or baker would be delighted to work in, and amazing views, with easy access to the beach! The house is located close to many of the north Norfolk coastal towns, NT houses & gardens as well as The Broads. Bev was on hand to give lots of great advice and recommendations. We loved our week and are planning to return. Hopefully with sunshine next time!

Mundesley has obviously been affected greatly by Covid & lockdowns - it has a quaint appeal (flint cottages through to Victorian brick villas), plenty of dog walking - lots of back lanes & pathways (unmade) to explore as you would find in an old village, access to the cliffs & beach; limited entertainment (one pub plus the hotel I was staying in), food establishments - recommend the steak in my hotel restaurant/bar - open to non-residents - other then that limited; only a few shops; can walk round the village in an hour or so.
Pleasant quiet (in October) little village with a cafe on the sea front, a couple of parks and an attractive centre away from the main road. People in shops were generally helpful and friendly. Useful food stores and post office. Lovely beach down a steepish ramp (or some very steep steps!). We would definitely like to stay there again.
Mundsleu is very nice. The apartment needs new curtains in the lounge and it is a bit damp. The Windows inside needed a clean and the outside Windows and ledges where filthy. Not what I would expect from a holiday home
Mundesley is a great little place with fantastic beaches that in the third week in September are sparsely populated. There's a good pub with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating some of which is overlooking the sea, a few shops and a cafe. There's a great crazy golf place on the main street and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the lovely views out to sea.
Lovely coastal village. Not too busy which was perfect! The Ship Inn has a lovely beer garden and a good selection of beers & ciders and nice food. There’s a crazy golf, ice cream parlour, a couple of cafes and just a handful of shops. Old fashioned charm in abundance!
Nice area, very low key better for adults and couples rather than children. Lots of dogs around that might be an issue for some. Nice area for walking or getting to the coastal path. If you’re not self catering it lacks places to eat during the evening however, including the surrounding areas which we were surprised to find adding hassle to our short break.

We had a perfect week at The Lookout which was stylish, very comfortable, impressively well equipped and immaculate. We all had fun using Alexa and admiring the sunset and comet from the balcony. Greatly enjoyed using the vast, sandy beach close by as well as hiring equipment from the Mundesley watersports school and fish and chips delivered from the local chippy. Watching the seals at Horsey was the icing on the cake for our memorable holiday. Thank you Bev.
Mundesley
There were two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath, both having toilets. The two bedrooms were very spacious as was the kitchen/dining room which had high ceilings. The property was only 5min walk to the beach at Mundesley and a 15min drive into Cromer.
The room was very nice and the location good but there was no toilet roll, no milk and no hair dryer and it was unfortunate that these basics were missing and not realised until we returned to the hotel late in the evening and so unable to acquire.
Freindly family run hotel.
