Hotel in Heswall
Nestled amid attractive gardens in the beautiful Wirral countryside, this luxury spa resort offers an extensive treatment menu, and Chester and Liverpool are just 15 minutes' drive away. The hotel was chosen for its proximity to Clatterbridge for cancer treatment. The hotel is friendly, the food and atmosphere excellent and they go the extra mile to facilitate treatments for cancer patients in the spar to make life more bearable. We had our little boy with us. The bar staff were impressive in the way they made his stay fantastic...crushing ice and giving him brownies. Also Nicky in the spa was brilliant and special mention to Simon at the spa who was friendly and attentime and made his time at the pool brilliant when considering his mother's health. Thank you for going the extra mile

Heswall (Near Neston)
Located just 5 minutes' drive from Heswall's town center, the 19th century Thornton Manor is a stunning Grade-II Elizabethan country house. Absolutely fabulous stay. The receptionist was very helpful directing us to the office after we got lost. Carl & a staff member very kindly showed us our cottage and showed how to work the heating & hot tub. The place was spotless, comfortable beds and it was also really quiet. All crockery was supplied with Tea, coffee sugar & milk. Beautiful furniture all round. It stated shared bathroom & kitchen but we had our own inside our cottage. Beautiful grounds with lovely walks. I will definitely return here and highly recommend to anyone.

Enjoyed staying in Neston. Lovely town with good facilities and eateries. Close proximity to Port Sunlight which is well worth a visit. Great place. Ate at the seven stars at Thornton Hough which was excellent and the Boathouse at Neston which was also a good eatery
I went for a particular reason, to attend the Remembrance Sunday services to honour my late godfather who was born in Neston, was killed in WW2 and awarded a posthumous VC. I didn't have time for a lot of sightseeing, but it is a very pleasant town with several shops, pubs, coffee houses etc. I would say it was a good centre for exploring the Wirral. If one is interested, the Church is very interesting, particularly the stained glass windows, and it contains a memorial to those lost in the Falkland War, the only one in the north-west. Nearly everything of interest is walkable, and the people extremely kind and friendly. Well worth a visit.
Very nice central town, only a short drive to Liverpool and Chester, not much further afield is north wales, very good for children as you are close to a lot of the local attractions. Excellent facilities provided at the cottage itself, had all you could ask for!! Extremely good value for money!!
