Located in Hayfield, Sett Cottage has self-catering accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. The vacation home has garden views and is 25 miles from Huddersfield. We had an amazing stay at Sett Cottage. A beautiful cottage, wonderfully decorated with some fantasist features. We loved relaxing on an evening with the log burner after a long walk around the surrounding countryside. And both the wet room and the copper bath were wonderful!! We arrived to a supply of bread, eggs, milk, butter and nice coffee and tea which was much appreciated! The area is fantastic- a good selection of local shops for bits and pieces just a 5 min walk away. And some incredible walks and views literally on the door step! We will definitely be coming back !
We loved the atmosphere generated by the staff & locals who were a nice mixture of very friendly characters & made us very welcome along with our dog Chico who was stopping away with us for the 1st time. A couple of minor teathing problems but as this was the restart after an unplanned break, this was more than made up for by the staff's willingness to cater for our every need
Superb rooms - large and airy with king size bed for a brilliant night's sleep. Chef is excellent and the atmosphere in the bar/ dining area is warm and friendly with really attentive service from the owner & staff. Brilliant local ales too and a log fire in winter.
The area is one of natural outstanding beauty. If you love fresh air, wide open spaces and walking you can't fault this area. There are bridle paths for the bikers too if that's your thing! Many picturesque villages to stop off at and have a drink and a bite to eat.
