Located in Newtown, 3.7 mi from Dolforwyn Castle, The Bell Hotel provides accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. Womaston Castle is 1640 feet from the hotel. Owner very friendly, possibly having better contact (phone) incase of any issues. The room was immaculate. Thank you.
Featuring garden views, Lletty Ann wynn at Fraithwen Cottages features accommodations with a garden and a patio, around 9.9 mi from Dolforwyn Castle. The property was a lovely little farm cottage with amazing views of the countryside with traditional styling & modern touches & I instantly felt at home. It's a lovely, cosy place with all the features & mod cons you need (I really miss the walk in shower).
This former Victorian vicarage offers 4-star accommodations in mid-Wales. There is WiFi throughout, off-road parking and an electric car charging point, all free for guests. Beautiful rooms, great scenery, comfortable bed, great amenities and exceptional breakfast. When we go back to wales, we would love to stay there again.
Penygelli Apartments is a self-catering accommodations located 1 mile from the center of Newtown, in Powys. This cozy accommodations is pet-friendly and offers free WiFi. We loved everything. Super comfortable and just what we needed for a self-catering holiday. Such a beautiful part of the world. Thank you Zoe and Phil.
I really liked how the owners showed us where everything was in the room. Explained how everything was being run because of Covid Made sure that my wife fully understood everything, seeing that my wife is deaf!! The layout of the dining room was very good and the lounge which was at our disposal was lovely I highly recommend this family run and catered hotel to anyone!! Very handy for Newtown, seeing it is four miles away from the town centre We will be returning there hopefully soon Thanks for an enjoyable weekend
Whilst visiting Newtown most if not everyone was adhering to the present pandemic rules in distancing and wearing a face covering in the high street and even in the wetherspoons pub. until you are seated, then you can order off the app and you get excellent table service well controlled. The whole place inside and out felt "safe".The food on offer in the Black Boy pub looked like massive portions too.
Vastly improved after the recent opening of the by-pass: it was once a traffic nightmare. Newtown is on the up without becoming pretentious. Choice of eating places, fascinating history - new town in 1297, non-conformism, liberalism, Pryce Jones the first mail-order company, and a train station. Edge of upland Wales and part of the Severn Valley - a great base for exploring and yet convenient for business trips.
Great little town, plenty of things to do loads of bars, restaurants, shops definitely recommend staying here !! Best place to stay in town is the elephant and castle. The Indian above the spar is a definite must!
Great little place friendly and welcoming. Try The Granery - fantastic food, wine and friendly staff. Went for Steak-over, book early as its really really good steak, skinny chips and the pepper sauce is awesome!
A decent sized town, plenty of shops and cafe's. My favourite shop was the knitting shop..I always buy wool in this friendly shop. I only stayed a short time so am unable to give a full description.
