Quiet oasis with garden and outdoor seating in the middle of the city. Very helpful and knowledgeable hosts! Bedroom and en-suite bath was immaculate and very comfortable. View of garden and church yard was lovely green while in the town. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit and well cooked! Very thoughtful hosts with fresh milk in tiny refrigerator in the room for tea/coffee. Parking inside property gate was also appreciated.

There is very little to like, the pile on the island is ok but recreated like a premier inn. The main bit off the island reminds of a nursing home and not a good one.

Our friends live in Normanton so we know the area well.

Our friends live in Normanton so we know the area well. We would normally stay with them but due to family coming across from America we stayed at the Grange. It has a nice little shopping area in the centre and various cafes. It is not far to travel to Wakefield or Leeds and other surrounding areas. There is a local train station and frequent bus service.

the area is beautiful, such incredible history, and the pubs do the most amazing food, we went to the crooked billet at Towton for a Sunday roast, it was incredible, Mama Mias in Pontefract was also very good, and Thaal, the Indian restaurant near ferrybridge was the best i have ever had, wonderful stay and Normanton is very central to where we wanted to be.
