Offering free WiFi and sea views, The Shore provides accommodations located in Queensferry, just less than 0.6 mi from Hawes Pier. We had an amazing time at The Shore, fantastic host, beautiful house, excellent location. House is done to very high standard, clean and well equipped. Beautiful views and lovely big garden. Very easy to get to Edinburgh by train or bus and you don't have to worry about parking in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend 👌.
Boutique bedrooms and 3 levels of outside decking make the most of Orocco Pier's waterside setting. Great location overlooking the River Forth and the bridges of Queensferry. Very near the Edinburgh airport so we choose here instead of an airport hotel and so glad we did. The rooms are completely updated - modern, stylish. We (Room 8) overlooked the front (busy street) but still fun. Our family were in room 10 and weren’t suppose to have a view but there was. Parking can be a challenge but we found very near. The seafood restaurant was fabulous and they had the best seat by the window for us.
Centrally located on the High Street, the friendly Ravenous Beastie has free Wi-Fi and bedrooms with private bathrooms and flat-screen TVs. Central Edinburgh is a 15 minute train ride away. Friendly welcome from owner Moira. Nicely situated in the centre of Queensferry. My room was immaculate and bed was extra comfortable. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast.
The Queens has well-equipped accommodations boasting free WiFi in Queensferry, 2.7 mi from Hopetoun House and less than 0.6 mi from Hawes Pier. Loved every aspect of our stay apart from the blue carpets !! Would highly recommend this place a perfect base for Queensferry and a short train ride in to Edinburgh - excellent B&B
For the new visitor, it can be a bit difficult to get about - to the railway station for example. The railway journey to Edinburgh is short and regular and you get to cross the magnificent rail bridge. There is nowhere like it!
I love area around North Queensferry anyway, but what a great location: Edinburgh by train or bus to save bothers about driving/parking, Perth 40 minutes up the road or easy access along the Fife coast. And a Michelin starred restaurant 3 minutes walk away!
Lovely place, beautiful bridges for mesmerising scenery! Lots of lovely restaurants at port Edgar marina and south Queensferry little boutique shops and cobble lane is lovely! With a beachfront/ rocky bay for nice strolls! Suitable with kids/ pets too!
Interstate place for an overnight stay or central location to explore Scotland. Interesting evening walks with beautiful views with a nice footpath leaving directly from the hotel to the road and rail bridges. Road meanders through the quaint village and old harbour area.
North Queensferry is perfectly situated on the River forth and within easy driving distance from the east coast and access to either the quaint villages along the coast or the bigger cities like Dundee etc. Jute, Jam and Journalism. Oor Wullie, The Discovery (the Ship) that took Scott to the Antarctic. and all the shops the other half will need (Wink)...Dunfermline itself has the famous Abby with connections to King Robert the Bruce......
The hotel is very nice. Our room was a good size and we had everything we needed. We had breakfast in the restaurant which we thought was slightly overpriced, but the food was good and the service friendly. Would be happy to recommend and we will most likely be back.
