Located in North Walsham in the Norfolk region, The Earsdon Annex features a patio and garden views. Continental breakfast consisted of fresh orange juice, croissants, toast, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, jam, butter, fresh milk & a pot of tea. Delicious! The Annexe is very well appointed, modern and spotlessly clean. The accommodation is down a country lane, about a 10-15 minute walk to the local pub. There are no street lights so remember a torch/mobile phone. Thank you, Kelly for your kind hospitality; we look forward to a return visit when the weather is a little warmer.

Within walking distance of North Walsham in a lovely quiet location. Nice & clean room. John & Carol were lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
A relatively quiet but well resourced small town in this part of Norfolk which benefits from proximity to the North Norfolk coast, Norfolk Broads and Norwich without the tourist frantic business of its more popular and well known neighbours Cromer, Sheringham and Wroxham. Home to the nationally acclaimed Beechwood Hotel with excellent accommodation, cuisine and ambience and a small but friendly centre, the ideal centre for visitors preferring a less hectic visit to the region.
Quaint town, but woefully traffic congested and little parking in the centre. I must add that in view of our single night’s stay because of dissatisfaction with the accommodation, I should be offered a refund of the money paid for it, minus, of course, Z the price of our one night’s stay. Please respond to me about this ASAP.a
scarbourogh hill country inn a defiant no no we went back to our room that I upgraded on booking.com form £135 to £145 for better room , I was put in a small double room that had one wall covered in plaster that was in middle of repair as apparently the room had a water leak and not finished , also it had a dirty cup with tea stains in with a dead fly and paint from the wall in it , at this point we showed Georgina in reception , who also agreed it was disgusting and would never put us in that room if had known , and changed us to the upgraded from that we paid for in first place , in morning we went to breakfast in the conservatory , the floor and window seals were full of dead flys and wasps to which we complained and the owner kandis reluctantly sweep them up and said the cleaners had not been in today where we pointed out it was like that yesterday when we came , my wife ordered porridge that was served stone cold that was sent back I ordered cooked breakfast that was burnt that was also sent back, so we asked for a refund as this booking was firstly totally booked under misreputation , secondly for all the things above , to witch today Kandis the owners daughter rang me and said you are not getting a refund or any contributions, then said bye ,
We were revisiting with a view to relocating to this quiet town and area and have been peasantly surprised at the facilities, the ease of car parking , the relative plenty of (very clean and well kept) public toilets and access to all major public transport modes (Bus - Sanders excellent network & Train to Norwich as well as north to Cromer and Sheringham - saves worrying about parking in these highly busy tourist centres..
The town itself doesn't have a lot in the way of sights or shops. I chose it as a base to explore other parts of Norfolk and it was great for that. The station had easy regular trains to Norwich and out towards the coast (Cromer, Sheringham etc) and also the Coast Hopper bus for other destinations such as Wells-next-the-sea and Hunstanton.
I only had a flying visit to North Walsham as I was on a time limited round trip to research my family tree so I don't feel I can review the area as such. I did stop for a coffee and fruit scone in a cafe which I think was in the shopping precinct - it was excellent value for money.
Location, real ale, friendly staff, good chef. The new owners are really making, what used to be great a few years ago, into an even better experience
