In the Devon village of Northlew, Elmfield lies around 7 miles from Okehampton and the Dartmoor National Park. The incredibly warm and natural welcome I received. Tea and a delicious cake followed by a nice conversation. It is genuinely like being in a home from home, the house is presented lovely and the hosts, both Martin and Victor are very accommodating and excellent hosts. The breakfast was outstanding.
Set in Ashbury in the Devon region, Coachman’s Cottage features a patio and garden views. The property is 29 mi from Woolacombe and free private parking is featured. I loved the fact that it was in a location that made getting to the north, West and South coast's easy. Dartmoor was not far at all and the overall setting was a lovely, quite place to sleep and recharge. The hosts were very friendly and started our holiday off with scones, cream and jam.
Featuring accommodations with a patio, Cozy Devon cottage in the heart of the countyside is located in Highampton. Lovely location clean tidy very comfortable lovely walks very relaxing will come again thank you sorry we didn't right a message we couldn't find a pen
Wonderful overnight in HOF Cottage, belonging to Gallery owners next door - nothing too much trouble and blissfully cosy night in beautifully restored Grade II listed cottage with everything you could wish for - including a loaf of home baked bread!
This is a quiet Devon village located in a pleasant rural environment. Good local pub serving good food at a reasonable price. From the village you can easily access the north or south coasts or surrounding areas.
we were made very welcome and felt at ease, weather was not good to us, but this did not make any difference to our visit, we had evening meal at local pub, the food was nice and the staff were friendly
Parking is on-site, in a roundabout format, which does need to be organised so early leavers are at the front. Friendly greeting. Tea/Coffee and cake/biscuits served in an inviting sitting room for the guests. The single room was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean, giving a choice of bath or over bath shower. Facility is shared with all the guests, 7 on the night I stayed. So don't take the Sudoku with you on a visit ! Had evening meal at the Green Dragon, one minute walk away ! Not a huge choice, and best get there early for maximum choice as a number of things were rubbed off the chalk board over time while I was there. Price is reasonable. My steak was cooked just as I requested it, so thumbs up for that. Breakfast next morning was magnificent. Plenty of it. Never needed to eat again until tea-time ! I would definitely stay here again.
Small, quiet village in rural Devon, it has a friendly pub with good food, (we ate there on quiz night, which was very sociable) a shop, bus service & easy access to main towns, even though it's down country roads (but not too narrow). Nice atmosphere.
Our bedroom did not have en suite but robes were provided for the short walk to the large bathroom, not a problem for us. Fantastic breakfast. Complimentary coffee and cake on arrival and coffee served whenever you want one. Looking forward to going next year to this fascinating house.
