Lovely quiet location on a rural lane with dairy cattle in the fields next to the house and magnificent country views on all sides- and yet only a few miles drive from the A30. Breakfast was fantastic: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, hot croissants and toast with plenty of jam/marmalade, butter, fresh milk and tea/coffee.

Okehampton is typical of most small market towns, there are a couple of nice pubs, not many places to eat except the two pubs and takeaways. The Town Hall, opposite the White Hart, is a beautiful building, there are some pleasant walks around Simmons Park and the Castle is worth a visit. The railway has reopened with trains running to Exeter which is fantastic, although when we went, the train we were going to come back on was cancelled, which was annoying when there is only one an hour.SarahUnited Kingdom - Scored 1010

We picked up a local leaflet for Okehampton from our hotel, which gave an enjoyable walk around the main points of the town and brief details of some history. There are numerous coffee shops, hotels and other places for a coffee and/or snack. Lots of independent shops in the little arcades and along the high street.

We have never had a warmer welcome from the host. The caravan was lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. There was a large decking area around three sides which would be lovely to sit out on.
