The hotels position in the golf course was fantastic, view from our room were great! Unfortunately covid spoilt the ambiance of what was a pleasurable short break. The evening meal of beef was excellent not as sure of the other food, it was a hit or miss according to your taste. The Australian barossa red wine was very good but that's my taste! An all round good hotel for a short break.
it is a nice hotel - reception staff are very pleasant. Corona arrangements take a little off the experience However we found the service at breakfast very poor with orders taking far too long. Service staff forgetting orders or making promises to return with tea and such and not doing so at all No marmalade available for three days -other random shortages - for which there seemed no reason My room-quite a nice suite with a lovely big bathroom - however spoilt by giant green exit sign which bathed the whole room green at night - who wants to sleep as if in an elevator?
Excellent hotel, very cosy with excellent mix of antique and modern furnishings, with fires in all main rooms, friendly, inviting, definitely a place to go for a relaxing few days, set in beautiful grounds.
Fab country hotel with a modern twist but the detail and standard is very high from bar staff to facilities! Only thing that could make it better would be a spa and pool but I’d be happy to stay again and would be sure to have a great stay
This is a nice, small village in north east Scotland. It has all the amenities you might need and is in a great location for exploring Aberdeenshire. There are loads of castles and gardens to visit nearby, lots of outdoor activities and historical monuments. Go explore
We stayed at the Meldrum Arms Hotel. We soon realised this was a working man's hotel. However they did their best to sort out our various complaints, and we were comfortable. We also had an Indian meal in their restaurant - excellent! All in all, a very nice little town.
Oldmeldrum
Nothing seems to much bother to ensure the stay is relaxing and enjoyable. Bread, milk, butter, jam, cereal cleaning clothes etc all provided all beyond our expectation. Very thoughtful. We ate in the Morris Hotel next door and the staff were delightful, food excellent and recommended Wedge the taxi driver for our trip too and from a wedding. First class service from everyone. Well done😁
