Located in Oldmeldrum, 18 miles from Beach Ballroom, and Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club reachable within 13 miles, Morris Gardens Apartments offers a restaurant, a bar and free WiFi. Robin, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is spacious and in excellent order with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. An excellent site for accommodation near a local wedding venue. Parking is right outside and the town’s market square with useful shops is just around the corner.
Claire's Townhouse, Aberdeenshire, 3 bedrooms is located in Oldmeldrum, 18 miles from Beach Ballroom, and provides a patio, garden, and free WiFi. Beautiful house, very comfortable and in a great location for exploring Abeedeenshire. Claire is a wonderful host, very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we didn't get to stay for our whole break due to storm Arwen, but we cant wait to come back! Highly recommended.
The Lodges @ Barra Castle offers a garden, as well as accommodations with a kitchenette, 3.7 mi from the market town of Inverurie. Complimentary WiFi is offered. Sarah and her husband run a wonderful Inn at the Barra Castle. They have a lovely restaurant next door to your beautiful cottage. Friendly staff and cute decor, I would absolutely recommend this spot while in Abderdeenshire area.
Located in Inverurie, within 17 miles of Beach Ballroom and 15 miles of Hilton Community Centre, The Sidings Inverurie has accommodations with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as... This was one of those 'finds'. The accommodation is very modern, well-equipped and perfect if you want to stay somewhere where you can do self-catering and spend time in a comfortable shared living room. The manager there was also extremely helpful.
We stayed at the Meldrum Arms Hotel. We soon realised this was a working man's hotel. However they did their best to sort out our various complaints, and we were comfortable. We also had an Indian meal in their restaurant - excellent! All in all, a very nice little town.
Our room was extremely comfortable and big with a beautiful modern ensuite bathroom. Lovely bed linens and the bed was heavenly!! Lots of cozy public areas which we enjoyed spending time in. Unfortunately we were only in the hotel for one night in September but have booked to stay again in January for two nights. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Tricky to find in the dark until you happen upon the arch - ie no signs to it in the village or on the road from New Machar. We were staying with my son in Newmachar, so we didn't go anywhere else. We'll be back in the summer, so ask me all of this again & I'll tell you, but I suspect that if you weren't into golf, the hotel would seem a bit biased towards golf. So a tennis or bowling green, something to do if its raining e.g. a dart board & a pool table - otherwise its all a bit too hushed tones & posh, but there's not enough buzz when you go into the bar? Oh, and the wifi in the stables need a repeater to make it fast enough to stream. If the TV in the room had had iPlayer ie was a smart TV, we could have watched Tina Turner on it rather than on my phone with buffering!...but these a trivial details. If this hotel was in Edinburgh or Glasgow it would kick every other hotel's butt!
The hotels position in the golf course was fantastic, view from our room were great! Unfortunately covid spoilt the ambiance of what was a pleasurable short break. The evening meal of beef was excellent not as sure of the other food, it was a hit or miss according to your taste. The Australian barossa red wine was very good but that's my taste! An all round good hotel for a short break.
it is a nice hotel - reception staff are very pleasant. Corona arrangements take a little off the experience However we found the service at breakfast very poor with orders taking far too long. Service staff forgetting orders or making promises to return with tea and such and not doing so at all No marmalade available for three days -other random shortages - for which there seemed no reason My room-quite a nice suite with a lovely big bathroom - however spoilt by giant green exit sign which bathed the whole room green at night - who wants to sleep as if in an elevator?
Excellent hotel, very cosy with excellent mix of antique and modern furnishings, with fires in all main rooms, friendly, inviting, definitely a place to go for a relaxing few days, set in beautiful grounds.
We loved staying in the charming town of Oldmeldrum and in the lovely Redgarth Inn. We enjoyed our comfortable room with its great view. Stuart was a great host and we had fun chatting to him. We had dinner at the Redgarth every night and the food was delicious and the atmosphere convivial.
Everything was very high quality. The summer house, although a bit unusual, was great. Oldmeldrum is a lovely village with great shops. The WiFi worked really well. The kids loved the attic room with the fairy lights. The shower was fantastic. The kitchen was well-equipped.
Bread, butter, jam and milk in the apartment whixg made things much easier althougg there is a shop nearby which is open until late. We had an excellent meal at the owners hotel. All facilities are nearby and the area is love 'll y.
Lovely location and scenery. New section of the hotel very comfortable. Excellent food and service in the Cave Bar. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
