Black Horse Cottage is set in Pentraeth, 3.7 mi from Red Wharf Bay, in an area where cycling can be enjoyed. This holiday home has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely cottage, nice and quiet location but close enough to main road. Facilities in play area went down well with grandchild , enjoyed our week.
Located in Pentraeth and only 1.7 mi from Red Wharf Bay, Gwynedd House Flat 2 provides accommodations with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property features sea views. Great location as a base for exploring the area. Veey clean and comfortable and everything we needed. Parking was easy and communication with hosts was suberb
Visit to Plas Newydd - excellent. Wonderful gardens. Several lovely beaches for a stroll or play. We ate at the Ship Inn at Red Wharf Bay, and it was very good. Visit to Moelfre is a must, and the drive around the north of the island was well worth it for the views.
There is not much in Pentraeth, I would say it is more of a base to explore Anglesey, There is a lovely pub called the Panton Arms and the Bull Inn about 10mins apart by foot both lovely and friendly, the chinese takeaway is definitely one to try having said that it would not prevent us staying in this area again
Great location and near a great pub that served evening meals in walking distance. Room was beautiful with great personal touches and comfy bed. Bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was superb and lovely friendly hosts.
What were your favorite spots? - Red Wharf Bay (Which from the B&B is within sight), Menai Bridge, Church Island and the surrounding country side. Where did you eat? - There are plenty of pubs around for a local meal however there is also a Chinese, Fish and Chips shop, Kebab house, Spar and Petrol stations around. Is getting around Pentraeth easy? - If you're visiting by car everything is just around the corner. If you're walking it may take you a little bit longer however the walk is always worth it. What are some fun activities for groups of friends like yours? - Pentraeth and Bangor is somewhere you go to relax, find peace of mind and just enjoy the beautiful Welsh country side. If Nature is your muse then you'll love this place. But if you fancy something more populated you could easily go down to Bangor where you'll find a lot more activity.
Pentraeth is well placed for visiting the whole of Anglesey and the Menai Straits area. There are lots of pubs around Red Wharf bay, just a few minutes away. The petrol station has a well stocked shop.
Pentraeth is very tranquil but only a 40 minute walk to Red Wharf Bay on a very rural route. The journey back was a little testing in the hot weather with our daughter in a buggy up the steep and windy roads but still doable. The caravan is a real home from home and well catered for. The secure outdoor area is a massive bonus and so nice to only have the one neighbour and that being the owners.
Location, facilities and cleanliness.
