Imposing property. Beautiful location. The staff are exceptional. Every one of them are friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was lovely and clean. Had lunch and the Prawn cocktail was incredible.

We were visiting family in Sunderland and mostly ate there.

We were visiting family in Sunderland and mostly ate there. We ate once - and would definitely go again - at The Half Moon pub which is about 5 minutes drive from the hotel. A very wide menu; plenty of food; lovely staff and warm and comfortable. There are a very few other venues but there is far more in Seaham itself or, of course, Sunderland. There is a lovely cafe called the North cafe on the coast just outside Seaham which is gorgeous though they need to fix the loo door locks! (We did tell them). The roads around Peterlee are new, wide and modern and it is easy to get around. Peterlee is essentially a village and we did not expect to make it our place for more than an overnight accommodation (or in our case 4 nights of a family visit). We are not a young couple and can only comment from the viewpoint of seasoned travellers in our mid-70s!

The hotel was beautifully decorated and immaculate in a location overlooking the sea with extensive gardens and deck at the rear, there was an amazing function room and the freshly cooked full English breakfast was made from good ingredients and served piping hot, the coffee was also good , the room could not be faulted, bathroom had thick towels and complimentary toiletries, if you stay here or want to make use of the function room you won’t be disappointed. The owner was very friendly and helpful

Everything we needed in a property and more. Contact with the owner was pretty much an immediate response. Nothing was a problem and the cleanliness of everything was great. Many thanks for the little gifts you left on our arrival 😊 definitely recommend this property to anyone who is staying in or near Peterlee. We will definitely try and book this accommodation again on our next visit to see our friends in the area. Keith & Jo

had a lovely 2-night seaside break at the SEASIDE SPACIOUS apartment in Peterlee. The apartment was bright, roomy, and had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It was the perfect base for exploring the coast and enjoying some peaceful downtime. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the stay was smooth from start to finish. A great spot for a short getaway — I’d definitely come back!

The staff who run the hotel were really polite and friendly. Gave us loads of information about transport to and from stadium of light and all round really kind. We travelled as two young girls to see Beyonce and the women who ran the B&B made us feel so comfortable and they were really chatty. Breakfast was lovely, so happy with our stay :)
