Very clean room beyond the budget value, and breakfast options were plenty included with the stay. For accesibilty to city center (15 min drive - 3.5 miles) , preferred to have a car as its located on a motorway behind a fuel station. So thats a plus for self driving travellers to Canterbury.

I grew up here and remained for many years.

I grew up here and remained for many years. Lovely to return to my old home area. Nice locale. Easy for Canterbury or any coast. Nice and romantic. Loved cycling all around the coast from Whitstable to Dymchurch. Mostly cooked in the lodge.

The house was perfect.

The house was perfect. Beautiful setting and very well kitted out with everything you would need. The owner was helpful and close by. We would definitely stay again and recommend Petham Hide for a family or Adult stay. The bedrooms were beautiful. Disabled facilities were good. A very peaceful area. Pretty village. The grounds around the house were great for the children.
