The Cromore Halt is located in Portstewart and is less than 2 miles from a sandy beach. It offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and bistro and free parking. The room was spacious, immaculate and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable with crisp linens. The staff was most accommodating and the on-site restaurant was very good. With rigorous following of COVID-19 policies on property we were given an extra feeling of security. We’ve been on holiday for close to a month and Cromore Halt is our trip favorite.

Portstewart is a lovely wee place with plenty of places to eat out, quite a few of which are pet friendly. It was lovely being able to walk around the sea front and get that lovely sea air in your lungs. A special thanks to Bob & Bert's on the seafront they are so good with dogs they even bring them a bowl of water.
There is some much to see within a short distance. You can walk easily for miles. Lots of history and fabulous artists abound. Coleraine is a 15min drive and has some great fashion stores for women and and a few for men plus a fabulous shoe store….amazing selection of shoes for men women and children
Portstewart is a great seaside town. It has a promenade which is enjoyed by visitors and locals. On the promenade there are boutique clothes shops, many cafes, Morellis Ice Cream restaurant (the best!), hardware and local craft stores. There are plenty of benches to sit and admire the view. You can park on the promenade but sometimes you may need to wait, though there are other parking areas nearby. It is one of my favourite places and has it's own fantastic beach (Portstewart Strand), and is close to many other beaches (Castlerock, Downhill, Benone, Salmon Rock) and easy driving distance to Portrush (another seaside town), The Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. It also has some great local restaurants and a golf course.
I know this area intimately having lived nearby in my teen years- about over 50ys ago !!!! .It was grand to be away from the bustle of the promenade and letting areas to a place where you could walk to the promenade in just over 5 minutes. The accommodation was excellent and the hosts were really brilliant. Breakfast was excellent and great range of hot and cold foods, and, we sat with Spanish and American guests !!!. Breakfast was a time selected allocation and worked great - cook as you need so no waste. Brilliant coastal walk to Portstewart National Trust strand if you wish and the Giants Causeway and Bushmills Distillery not far away.. It is crowded as you would expect such is the beauty of this area during the holiday season.
Plenty to do around the area from swimming in rock pools, golf or pitch and putt, walking, beach trips, and plenty of coffee shops to sit and watch the world go by. Would need a car to visit some attractions further afield
The town is buzzing its very busy. I just think we maybe stayed on a kids night out. Very young crowd everywhere we turned. Views are unreal. I would go back for longer and possibly during the week rather than the weekend.
Every single thing about this property was amazing! They didn’t hold back with a single detail, we loved how OTT it was. The beer garden area was fab and had a great atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely and every staff member we met was so nice and friendly. We will be recommending it to anyone visiting Portstewart.

The property is clean and spacious with everything you might need, and it's in a quiet residential area .Close to amenities, and not far from Portrush and Portstewart. Breakfast was well cooked, substantial and very tasty .
