-the esthetic beauty of the hotel, surrounded by lush greenery that provided a serene and inviting atmosphere - The staff at the hotel were incredibly caring and attentive. Kids friendly ( goodie bags at arrival For kids, snacks for the road at the departure ) - The cuisine was nothing short of amazing. Both breakfast and dinner offerings were delicious and diverse, catering to a wide range of tastes. The quality and presentation of the food were top-notch, making every meal a delightful experience.

Stayed at this great spot while walking the Coast To Coast walk. Hotel owner David offers an excellent property at a great value and  is especially helpful to any hikers in the area. Wonderful, wonderful dinner in the evening, and their great breakfast service starts at 7 AM. They offer a shuttle pick up from the trail and transport to the hotel, then return in the morning. Take away lunches as well for hikers. Friendly, enthusiastic staff. The best stay of any of the nights on the beautiful Coast To Coast walk. Thank you, David for a wonderful experience.

❤Fabulous stay in Room 1....it was luxury!❤loved the new decor,room was super spacious,fantastic super king high bed with lovely seat at the end. Loved the high ceilings,sash windows,lush curtains & perfect lighting.Plenty of wardrobe space & lovely mirrors,plus tea & coffee to enjoy. Its big bathroom has lovely fittings, fluffy white towels,lots of toiletries & a well lit mirror! Great views & perfect location on high street with free parking right outside!...Stayed 6 times here & love it❤there's always something new every time we come.The owners & staff are super friendly & have worked so hard in building a great hotel business. With it's own bar,Indian restaurant & superb beer garden down to the river,it really is a lovely treat to escape to.❤ Thank you for a lovely weekend💥

The property is exactly what we expected.

The property is exactly what we expected. Clean comfortable and well equiped. The oven was not easy to control - its signage had worn off. It was warm and comfortable with good responsive heating. Instructions on how to use the TV set topbox would have been useful. The TV in the bedroom was a smart tv and easy to use whilst the one on the main room(same size) with an unexplained set top box was limited in its usefulness.

We had a fantastic stay, the cottage is very comfortable and...

We had a fantastic stay, the cottage is very comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed, they even had a Christmas tree put up for us which our Granddaughter was thrilled with. Keith the owner is most helpful but unintrusive, we have stayed here before and definitely will do again, can't recommend highly enough!!!
