I had never visited Bedfordshire before and this villiage was a great place to introduce myself to the county. Stayed here for one night as we had an event nearby, friendly little town with great amenities. Would stay here again if I had another event in the area.
We used the coach house merely for over night accommodation whilst attending a wedding. It served its purpose.not sure that potton had much to offer as a town.no tea rooms in the square that we could see.
There are only two letting rooms. The main room is called Poppy and is a converted HayLoft which has been decorated tastefully and has everything you need. Including homemade biscuits. The Ensuite is a real surprise as it is almost as big as the room. Again beautifully appointed and clean. The Nest is immaculately turned out, beautifully looked after by the owners and serve a great Breakfast, mainly of homegrown, homereared and homemade ingredients sp you cant get any less food miles than that. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay, would have liked to stay longer but had a birthday party to travel further to.
Lovely village, great bed and breakfast. Host helpful welcoming. Room lovely, very comfortable, excellent breakfast - home produced sausages, eggs jams. Very near the RSPB nature reserve and easy access to Cambridge. Ate in Bourn 20 minutes drive ( fabulous!) but lots of recommendations made by host much nearer including takeaways. Woul stay again.
Great surroundings, good location if visitors are wanting something less sleepy than the very pretty Potton. Good food outlets - no chains, very friendly locals. I ate out at the Coach House & the Rising Sun, both had great delicious food & ambience, altho the Coach House was particularly delish decor & seating. The only issue I had getting around Potton was that the roads weren't built for levels of traffic for parking & manoeuvring - but everything attainable on foot. So not a major problem
