Every attention to detail has been thought about. Good quality tea/coffee, biscuits, the fridge with milk and cold water. The breakfast the owners make is exceptional. They are also very kind - they took us to pick our car up after an evening out.

Very good location, helpful host, clean and comfortable bungalow and great that I could take my dog with a safe, private, enclosed area to let him out in. Very good, local pub that welcomes dogs and has excellent food.

    The Paddock is a lovely self-catering annex with continental...

    The Paddock is a lovely self-catering annex with continental breakfast included and the option to pay for bacon, eggs and bread etc in a peaceful and rural location in the Vale of Belvoir, 10 miles west of Grantham and 17 miles east of Nottingham. It consisted of a large clean room with double bed, single bed, table, chairs, easy chairs, plus ensuite shower room and kitchenette with hob, microwave, small oven, kettle, toaster. There's a small seating area outside and there's a hot tub at the back of the owners' house we could use that overlooked the garden and fields. Our hosts Nicky, Steve and Nicky's mum Marjorie were very friendly. There's a lovely 1/2 mile walk along the Grantham canal (just opposite Peacock Farm) to the nearest village Redmile where we had a delicious meal at the Windmill pub (open Wed-Sun). We can recommend the Italian Appassimento wine! There's also a pleasant cycling route from Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir along the Grantham canal to Grantham and lots of pretty villages and minor rural roads for cycling. We had a very pleasant stay here.
