The area is nice and quiet perfect for walking; forest at Inveroy or along Bohuntingville with the view along the Parallel Roads. I stayed self catering but there are pubs close by were food is served throughout the day. Not far from Fort William the main town which has plenty of shopping and leisure facilities.
We really enjoyed ourselves very much with beautiful surroundings, excellent food, professional staff, and just that feeling of being looked after in every detail, a truly enjoyable memorable experience. Ian & Suzanne's establishment is really something else, in that there obviously has been a lot of thought put into so many things, so as to make it such a special, quality, place to stay, with the high standards they have set, and implemented.
easy directions. Quiet location. Train line close to site but not noisy. Could take train and walk to the chalets. outdoor walks brilliant. Neighbours in other chalet friendly. Internet easy to connect plus TV .
There is plenty to do if you enjoy walking, hill walking. It was hard to judge as everything was closed due to COVID/end of season, but as I am happy outdoors the scenery gave me great pleasure. The Parralel Roads is not far from the lodge and the glacial features evident.
Can’t fault the house at all, The West coast of Scotland lends itself to a multitude Of outdoor activities, your actually spoilt for choice. On a more relaxed note touring round by car and exploring the B roads , including the no though roads lead you places which will fill you with an air of peaceful tranquility. Take the road to Mallaig for example, start early, take provisions, be prepared to stop, get out and explore, visit the sliver sands and have picnic, best of all just sit and let peace and guiet settle your mind.
The cottage is around 3 miles from Roy Bridge and about a mile from the main road on the lane to Fersit. Heavenly surroundings, peaceful, great for walks. Having your own transport is advisable. Roy Bridge is a lovely little village, nearby Spean Bridge has shop facilities and Fort William is 20 miles away. A truly wonderful holiday destination.

Fabulous pods, super clean, cosy, well kitted out and with welcoming hosts. Great location too - be sure to check out near by Glen Roy for amazing views and great walking. Would highly recommend for a break just outside the obvious tourist spots, but within easy striking distance of the must-do trips such as Ben Nevis, The Commando Memorial, Glenfinnan etc.The Roybridge Hotel opposite has a great bar with good food - don't be out off by the pictures of fast food on the sign, the menu itself is far more imaginative and tasty :-)
Fort William
Marvellous hospitality provided by Iana and Gabriel. In the uncertain times that we currently live in, the hotel was spotlessly clean, hygiene regulations in keeping with Government and HSE standards in regards to COVID which everyone is aware of, are well explained on arrival. Everyone is required to wear a mask to safeguard the staff and guests at the hotel. All this making for a very enjoyable stay. Faultless stay in such difficult times. Well done team Stronlossit! We stayed in a beautiful family room, it was spotlessly clean and the shower was amazing. It had the feel of a high end hotel rather than a B&B but with the warmth of a very friendly host. Teresa was lovely with the children who were tired after a long journey. Breakfast was delicious and the children really appreciated the strawberries and chocolate dipping sauce laid on as an extra treat. Would highly recommend staying here and we hope to do so again in the future.
Roybridge
Spotlessly clean and ultra comfortable accommodation. Very attentive hosts who provided EVERY essential needed thus negating the need for a first stop at the supermarket. I highly recommend this accommodation, beautiful location, excellent value for money by comparison with local hotels.

David and his wife are wonderful property managers that go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. The little houses are basic, but well-stocked, and well-maintained, and the location in Roy Bridge is perfect for those looking to explore the Highlands.
Special place where we spent our honeymoon 25 years ago and we’ve just spent the weekend there to celebrate as we knew we were guaranteed to have the best experience a hotel can offer!
