The Chalet at Mellowvean, a property with a garden, is located in St.
We stayed at the chalet for 4 nights and loved everything it had to offer! Super squeaky clean and comfortable with all the little details one can wish for! The pictures dont do justice at all as the chalet is much bigger and separate rooms! Kitchen had everything we needed to fix a quick meal / brekki! We had our own private space outside in the garden too!! Jenny was lovely and so so helpful! We also got a little journey goody bag on our departure- so thoughtful!! Thank you so much Jenny!! All the best xx
A lovely little village with a nice choice of pubs, restaurants, cafes, bakery and general stores. There is a public car park that has plenty of spaces and a bus service that we did not use but runs regularly to Perranporth, Redruth and surrounding areas.
St.Agnes is fantastic for walkers, the views are the best, this coastline is rugged, walking along this coast line is fantastic. You can't really beat it. Chapel Porth is a good starting point - you can get decent lunch and good ice cream. The village is small but really nice.
Beautiful little place with lovely local Pubs, restaurants and local people. Fantastic coastal walks and beaches with some great British heritage to view along the way. It a great location with Newquay to the north and St Ives to the south and the east coast just 40 mins drive away, not only are you in beautiful location you have all the best bits of Cornwall on your doorstep.
Such a lovely, homely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Really great location - walking distance to the beach. Lovely restaurant and pub on site, dinner and breakfast both delicious and great quality food. Will definitely be returning - for longer next time!
Lovely coastal walks with a dog, unfortunately the beach isn't dog friendly, but a local dog walker recommended a couple of closer ones which were. It was a short walk to the local village but not much choice for dining. The view at the top of the Beacon was fantastic!! highly recommend it.
I know St Agnes very well as my mother grew up there and as a family we always visited each summer to see relatives. For a holiday base it offers beaches (I recommend Trevaunance Cove, Trevellas Porth, Chapel Porth – my favourite!, and Porth Towan.) and good walks around the costal path and the Beacon. The town offers a range of eating places and I particularly recommend the Han-Sum Oriental Restaurant (01872 713040), You can usually find space at the main car park in Trelawny Road, which is free (voluntary contributions). On Beacon Drive near the Wheal Coates car park I recommend the Wheal Coates Tea Room. We visited this establishment twice having first discovered it as we drove past. Staffed by two charming ladies, serving beautiful cakes, Panini’s, cream teas, local ice cream etc. Good value for money, good service and beautifully clean. Don't forget to take a restful walk through the memorial gardens (to the left at the top of Rosemundy hill) It has places to sit and is full of bluebell and white flowers in spring time.

There are only two guest rooms in this B & B so it is the ideal place to stay for social distancing. Our room was extremely comfortable , with many thoughtful and pleasing extras ( like a sample of the owner's home-made gin!) Also , it is situated in a very quiet location only a couple of miles from some of North Cornwall's more spectacular coastal scenery. Owner, very peasant, welcoming and efficient. All in all an excellent stay.
Well equipped room, nice bathroom, Hotel was nicely decorated throughout, it was also was very clean & tidy. There was plenty to eat at breakfast, with good choices, whether you wanted a cooked breakfast or other. An excellent pleasant & helpful reception at all times. The grounds were very large and peaceful, a very nice location.
