We were met by gracious hostess with thorough explanation about parking, and where to find information on all appliances, and local places of interest. The home was well appointed with all we might require, though we made use of only a fraction of same. Truly a relaxing atmosphere and lovely stay!

It is a lovely holiday and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the set menu we booked half board . There were pizza burgers pasta. I asked to look at the normal menu that wasn't given to us .normally you have a option to pay extra for upgrades. The waitress said she didn't know if I could would ask I felt a bit embarrassed. She came back said yes but to pay extra if more expensive. I picked steak and a starter which I paid the difference it was a nice meal. My daughter had the pizza that was the size of a sharer to big for one person she was over face .grandsons soup came out must if been in the microwave it was smoking hot the poorly little thing was hungry wouldn't give a child anything that hot his pasta also to hot the kids menu was OK but again got adult size portions . So they need to work on kiddies potions and also to give a child food that hot really dangous . Overall food i would give a 6 out of 10 .Breakfast buffet style was lovely great variety really lovely.
We split our journey as we had been to a family wedding in Cambridge we have stayed in many Holiday Inns found this one nice and roomy on arrival staff friendly plenty of free parking & electric charging good spacious rooms plenty of hot water comfy bed great buffet breakfast to set us up for the rest of our journey would recommend
Reasonable price, clean, easy to find. Helpful staff when you could find them, poor lighting in room for makeup. No staff at pool so couldn’t use, even though I checked on phone in advance. Good iron, ironing board and room fridge. Was able to get additional teabags and milk. Recommended local taxi company Tony’s were great.
I have stayed there many times and always thought it convenient, consistent and reasonable value for money however, this time I found it expensive and very noisy due to the decoration improvements in reception. Why this wasn't done earlier in the day when most guests are out I don't know. Thanks to the noise I went to my room really early only to fine the TV not working properly . I ordered some food and got stung over £20 for a plate of pasta!!!
Give up the "upgrades" and go back to what it was ! Place now, has no atmosphere, might as well go round the junction to the services ! Very, very disappointed. Previously a brilliant stay !
Ideally situated for travelling the East coast. On-site restaurant and food were great. In difficult times for hospitality, I thought the hotel was great apart from observing Covid advice, which was alarmingly lacking in practice.
The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The location was convenient for us to stop on our way to Edinburgh with ample free parking. We chose this hotel because it has air conditioning.
