Located in Bedale, The Reubens has a bar, terrace and free WiFi throughout the property. There is a restaurant serving British cuisine, and free private parking is available. The manager was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and more spacious than expected. The food in the restaurant was amazing and great value for money - They even had a disney themed childrens menu. Breakfast was also very good. We will definitely go back

The Wellington Heifer offers countryside bed & breakfast accommodations, yet is located for easy access to the A1(M) motorway. We had to book everything pretty last minute for a family emergency so we were very lucky to find this place. The owner (Rob) was very accommodating and let us check in early. We had a very stressful few days in the UK, so little things like that make such a huge difference. He was also very friendly and chatty so we felt very welcome there. We were only there for 1 night, but that meant we were able to squeeze in a dinner and a breakfast, with a few pints before. The bar/restaurant was super cozy and old world-y (exactly what you picture when you think of a traditional English inn). My meal (lamb shoulder) was the nicest plate of food I've eaten in recent memory. I'm sure my partner would say the same about his (the liver). We shared the baked Camembert starter as well, which was fantastic. Full English in the morning was also fab. Besides the food, the room itself was spacious (and smelled lovely) and the shower was huge! It was so nice to shower without knocking my elbows on everything. The view of the church was also beautiful. I imagine we'll be making more trips to that part of the UK in the future and I would be very very happy to stay (and eat!) at the Wellington Heifer again.

Hookcar Hill Cottage is located in Bedale and offers a tennis court and barbecue facilities. Polly greeted us on arrival and showed us everything we needed to know about the accommodation. She gave us her phone number in case we needed anything else whilst we were there. Polly had thought of everything so we didn't need to worry about a thing. The Shed (as they called it) was amazing, so warm and inviting. A great sofa to relax on, the most comfortable bed. The bathrooms were great, one with a shower one with a lovely roll top bath. The kitchen was fantastic! Loads of space and work tops and an Aga which kept everywhere warm (central heating if you need it too). We took our dogs, there was plenty of room for them in the shed and a good sized enclosed private courtyard for them to play in and a lovely wood to walk in. The surrounding area is beautiful, with lots of good walks just a short drive away. To sum it up The Shed was amazing, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished and even some lovely surprises on arrival. Thank you Polly for a wonderful stay.
