Pear Tree Cabin is located in Seend. The property is 24 mi from Swindon and free private parking is offered. This holiday home has 1 bedroom, a satellite TV, and a kitchen. The cabin is a fabulous home from home that was exactly what I wanted, being a base whilst I was on a course locally. It was warm, with lovely comfortable sofa and bed. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. The location was peaceful and private whilst being 2 mins from a pub and 3 mins from the canal for dog walks. I loved that I could use the lockbox to check myself in and out without having to arrange meeting the owners for a formal handover. Owners sent good instructions and checked everything was ok part way through my stay
Rew Farm Country & Equestrian Accommodations is a holiday home located in Seend, near Melksham, 11 mi from Bath. Being a family living in a city, from time to time it’s so necessary to have a rest on the open air and see the limitless beauty of the nature and valleys which are not blocked by tall buildings. There is absolutely everything you would need for a wonderful getaway and fun from noisy city. The caravan is very clean, cozy and has a very comfortable beds and kitchen. Yes, caravan is a little bit tight, but we expected it (you can see it from the pictures of the farm) and it is very smart outfitted. There are so many activities for family: xbox, books for kids and adults, table games, puzzles, lego, toys even paper and crayons! Outside Mark and Nicola has a amazing treehouse and lots of tracks (eletric and none). There is also a bounce. Nicola were so kind to allow our younger kids gardening (all shovels and pitchforks were for kids as well). Even our teenage kids were so excited to play American football on the green field. Our kids had an experience with feeding hens and also collecting eggs. In the evening time we had a wonderful bbq party with a grill kindly provided by Mark. As you understand the owners by their self are very kind and responsive people. It was so nice to have from them fresh eggs kindly presented for our breakfast. Location is very close to Bath, Avebury, Stonehenge (lots of places to visit ). Thank you very much, Mark-Nicola and George for our amazing getaway.
Located in Melksham in the Wiltshire region, Stables Cottage, Melksham has a garden. The accommodations is 24 mi from Swindon. We were greeted by the owner who was waiting for us to arrive, the cottage was really beautiful, it was warm, cosy and comfortable and having a lovely large family kitchen we were able to do some good home cooking with our family sat round the table which was so nice. The goodies of fresh fruit, milk, fresh flowers and some biscuits were very welcome and a nice touch. The bedrooms were very comfortable with lovely soft bedding and above all the cottage was very warm and cosy. The location was perfect as it is very central to Melksham, Devizes, Corsham, Trowbridge, Bath and Warminster. The cottage is set in delightful surroundings, ideal for our dog as it was set way back off the road and it was simple to find good walks just outside the door, which overlooked the duck pond, so lovely to see them each morning! The price was very fair and we loved our winter break, we chilled, watched DVDs, visited local areas and walked in the countryside, just perfect. The canal is very accessible and there is a lovely cafe there which we liked very much, dogs were welcome which is always good for us. We will certainly be returning as the experience was a real delight.
Located in Trowbridge, Newhouse Farm offers accommodations with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a shared lounge and a garden. The bed and breakfast offers a continental or buffet breakfast. Very welcoming couple running the b&b. It is a lovely farmhouse, spacious and clean and the breakfast was fantastic.
This charming, family-run, 400 year old farmhouse has been converted to a friendly, 8-bedroom hotel, easily accessible from the A350. Breakfast can be delivered to your door upon prior arrangement. Rooms really comfortable lovely breakfast staff helpful
An English village with 2 excellent pubs within easy reach - The Barge Inn at Seend Cleve (5 minutes from Swallows) on the canalside, ideal on a warm sunny evening watching the sun go down with a glass of wine, and The Well in Bulkington (10 minutes from Swallows). Events at Cleve House (by Swallows) could provide a different evening's entertainment - last year while we were there, was open-air performances of The Merry Widow, and this year was Romeo & Juliet - if this is might be of interest, it's probably worth telephoning Cleve House to check, as their website didn't mention Romeo & Juliet when we looked prior to travelling.
This is a great place to stay for visiting Bath,Stonehenge,Avebury Or if you want to walk the k/Avon canal. Situated right next to the pub that offers good food or cook your own in the well equipped cottage kitchen.
Ate in Three Magpies pub around the corner which was very nice. Didn't really spend anytime in Seend as wanted to visit my son who is at university in Bath and explore the Christmas market which was lovely and very festive. Bradford on Avon is also beautiful.
It's a nice location close to the gently bustling canal with all its narrow-boats and the world-famous flight of locks near Devizes. In addition, the excellent and capacious Barge Inn serves good food at reasonable prices.
I really enjoyed the night spent there. The cottage is clean and equipped for any need. Surrounding landscape very nice. The owners are nice: the also run the aside restaurant where you can eat delicious food. The place is about 30min car drive from bath so so I suggest as stop over to visit thw roman city.
A beautiful linear hamlet/village with some gorgeous properties, lots of history. But on a road that can be a busy cut through to the surrounding major roads, and no footpaths alongside the road, sadly. Nearby is the fabulously located The Barge pub which sits on the canal, great venue.
Location was excellent, the manager was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable The house was amazing so old and quirky , would definitely go again
