Very nice property with friendly staff although my daughter thought it was haunted being a property dating back 400 years Full of history and character Very noisy with lively pub across the road and obviously no double glazing Rooms no sound proof so was waken up by residents at 6am being very noisy getting showered etc Floor boards very creaky so no silent nights sleep
Idyllic hotel in beautiful surroundings close to the river. Lovely garden and terrace and friendly staff. The food was also very good. Bathroom was a little bland and there was dust and dead flies on the window sills. The pillows were rock hard, but the room had an out door seating area with a beautiful view of the river
The Warren Lodge hotel is in a great position on the river and the staff were friendly and helpful. It would be a great place to stay in the Spring or summer when the outdoor facilities could be fully enjoyed.
Lovely old village in church square right by the river also super cafe at nauticalia on ferry road with ferry to other side of river right by . This is a really good area for walking and wildlife.....we watched a cormorant catch a fish right in front of us on the river.....how often would you see that?
Our hotel, Holiday Inn, was located in tranquil surroundings away from main road, newly refurbished and with friendly staff. There is a good bar on site and OK restaurant for families, but not suitable for a fine dining. Shepperton Lock/Towpath, off Ferry Lane is a lovely place to walk and have coffee at The Ferry Coffee Shop. Shepperton is within 15 min drive of Thorpe Park, so while youngsters can have some adrenaline rush, more mature family members can appreciate location with lovely walks along Thames towpath. After, rejoin for a family dinner to go over day's experiences.
We stayed at Warren Lodge at the beginning and end of our trip around England. It is a charming place to stay on a beautiful and quiet part of the Thames as it winds around outside of London. The staff was very helpful. The Church Square area is historic and friendly.
Perfect location since we were keen to visit the Marina. Thoroughly recommend, a 1960’s hotel which has been recently refurbished. Covid restrictions inevitably impact the restaurant but good in the circumstances. Excellent overall.
