Really liked the staff, the pub area, the location.
Really liked the staff, the pub area, the location. The beer garden was lovely and we'd have been out there more if it was warmer. The room was big, clean and had everything you need. The bathroom floor creaked badly and the shower was impossible to get the right temp but usable. The bed really let the place down, it was uncomfortable and felt like it was on a slant. Despite this, we would go again. It was a lovely break away

We are keen walkers and there are lots of beautiful walks from the door of Silverdale Homestay. RSPB Leighton Moss is great for birdwatching and has a very nice cafe and shop, it's a short drive way. There is a nice hotel and an excellent Indian restaurant in walking distance from the homestay for dining out.

was clean and comfortable but what really raised the bar was the staff and the high quality standard of our evening meal and breakfast . had a nice walk along to the cove where there`s a great cave to explore .

Our booking was a one night stopover on the way home from holiday, but Silverdale is not a destination in itself, but a base for the area. The roads to Silverdale from the main road are very narrow with few passing places.

Silverdale is a beautiful area.
Silverdale is a beautiful area. So peaceful and tranquil. You get the best of both worlds - the coast and the countryside. There are lots of great walking trails where you can take in the marvellous views over the estuary and up to the mountains of the Lake District. The village is pretty and was not too crowded even on a bank holiday weekend.
