Very tranquil. Garden was beautiful .Hotel was well decorated and divided into cosy areas. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Evening meals were very good, particularly the bome made pies.
Butter and jams in open pots rather than butter sachets and individual jars were a welcome touch

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was delicious. The hotel is across the road from the train station (we didn't have a car). The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and we had access to a lift to our floor.

Staff was especially friendly and accommodating. Loved our spacious and comfortable room with a bay window overlooking the estuary. Food at breakfast and in the pub for evening meals was very good with generous portions.

Silverdale is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with National Trust maintained woodland and very good nature reserves particularly RSPB's Leighton Moss which is within walking distance. It's also good for visiting the Southern Lakes. There is a train station linking it with the resort of Grange over Sands and beyond and very good for walking and cycling.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The English breakfast was tasty and filling. The restaurant wasn't open. However, we received a recommendation for a good restaurant in town, just a 5-minute walk away. The beach was also a 5 minute walk away. The town of Silverdale and the hotel are beautifully located.

It was a lovely little village.
It was a lovely little village. The beach is stunning and so is the sunset! There are a great amount of walks around the area, with hidden coves and treasures! The one place that was really frustrating was Jenny Brown's Point. I would NOT recommend driving into the one and only road to get to it. I had young kids with me, so I had to drive through, but there is no parking at all and the road is really narrow, which was really inconvenient. Neither myself nor the kids could get down and explore it as it was a bit of a trek without a car , with young kids. If you are an adult or with older kids it would be just fine.

Silverdale is a small village with a few basic shops and toilet facilities. Excellent as a base for walking and bird watching in the locality. Quiet, unspoilt and within walking distance of RSPB Leyton Moss. The Silverdale Hotel is the main evening food and drink facility for most of the week with another pub in the village only open at weekends. There is a small coffee bar and an Indian restaurant which we didn't try. There is a post office, pharmacy and small supermarket.

Really liked the staff, the pub area, the location.
Really liked the staff, the pub area, the location. The beer garden was lovely and we'd have been out there more if it was warmer. The room was big, clean and had everything you need. The bathroom floor creaked badly and the shower was impossible to get the right temp but usable. The bed really let the place down, it was uncomfortable and felt like it was on a slant. Despite this, we would go again. It was a lovely break away

We are keen walkers and there are lots of beautiful walks from the door of Silverdale Homestay. RSPB Leighton Moss is great for birdwatching and has a very nice cafe and shop, it's a short drive way. There is a nice hotel and an excellent Indian restaurant in walking distance from the homestay for dining out.
