Pleasant little place. Clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Street leading to apartment iis very narrow as is typical of Yorkshire Dales so is not ideal for manoeuvring cars. Milk, coffee, tea and breakfast provisions were unexpectedly provided which was a nice touch.

Skipton is a vibrant town with everything you need from shopping, ample restaurants and pubs, coffee shops and an amazing market. The people are so friendly and and the town itself has such a nice feel to it. A great location for canal walks and plenty of places of interest worth visiting especially Skipton castle. Public transport also making it convenient to travel to neighbouring towns. Plenty of coffee shops and the market has plenty to offer in particular Wrens where you can buy a variety of delicious scones.

Skipton is a traditional Yorkshire town.

Skipton is a traditional Yorkshire town. A busy bustling high street with many shops and market stalls. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to meet everyone’s taste. Some great fish and chips restaurants too.There’s canal side walks as well as Skipton woods. A wonderful medieval castle which offers amazing insight into the history of the district, very well preserved and more than worthy of a visit.

A busy, thriving town with many independant shops as well as bigger stores, canals with a variety of boat trips, a castle and a cinema. Plenty places to eat, including a dog friendly cafe. Known as 'the gateway to the Dales, it's not too far from Malham, Haworth, etc.

Had been to Skipton previously but many years ago.

Had been to Skipton previously but many years ago. Came from Carlisle using the famous Carlisle/Settle railway line. Found Skipton to be a very clean and well looked after Town. Enjoyed the open air Market and a “chug” on the canal with afternoon tea provided. Happened to be in Skipton on Remembrance Sunday and experienced a very colourful parade of many organisations. Am sure I’ll revisit again.

Plenty of independent shops along with the usual high street...

Plenty of independent shops along with the usual high street ones. Good market few times a week on the main high street. Lots of traditional or modern bars and restaurants to choose from all within easy walking distance.Canal walks or boat trips as a nice activity. We found a few days visit was ideal. We intend to return and visit the castle during a future trip.

The hotel was really good and in a fantastic location in the middle of town. I was particularly grateful for the free allocated parking space just across the road. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of cupboard space. Flat screen TV and free WiFi. There is a well stocked bar downstairs with a great atmosphere in the evenings. Lucy was very friendly and made us feel welcome right from the start. We have found "our place" to stay next time. Thanks Lucy.

We were made welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. We were shown to our rooms and offered help to take our luggage up the stairs. The bedrooms we chose had en suite facilities, they were clean, comfortable and contained everything we needed. We decided to stay for dinner and enjoyed an excellent roast dinner. Breakfast was also super. Parking is available outside the hotel.

Staff were superb , room had a canal view , tv had Netfix , was a large room , with a bath , walked on to Skipton , and a lovely pub next to the Hotel ( Bay Horse ) 2 buses a hour to either Skipton or Keighley
